Christina1015:  I actually was talking about the line down on the skirt where the heaving floral lace meets the meshy lightwe lace, where it would hit at about the knee but I see what you mean here too. There is beading on it so I should probably go ahead and get some detail shots of all the beading and make sure it’s heavy enough on the edges in the back.

Can someone please pm me the name of this shop and possibly the facebook/etsy seller you were talking about? Thank you!

My final photos are in and I’m delighted! I’ve already approved them but just wanted to share 🙂

I’m thinking of adding a sash and maybe a lace bolero but I’ll wait until the dress arrives to see what it looks like on.  I might also add a petticoat to give more volume.

——-

I’m just going to ask for a few changes:

1) Flatten the one bust area.

2) Make the train “neater.” I can’t tell if in a few pics it’s just bunched up and that’s what makes it appear “messy” and not circular, or if some organza wasn’t trimmed yet 🙂

I’m incredibly happy. I think it looks great!

I’m not planning on wearing a big petticoat/crinoline, so it will be more flowy.  I also have my sash already, so the seam won’t show

Anything you ladies see?

nikkiibee:  gorgeous! I love the layering of the skirt. Very like the original! Other than the one bust as you say I think it’s very very close.  So pleased for you!

kmh2014:  thank you so much! I am obsessed with the back!!! I was pretty set on wearing my hair down for my wedding but now I’m not so sure! I’d hate to cover that up. I love the laces they used. They are pretty dead-on. I love that you can really see the eyelashes on the edges on top. 🙂

nikkiibee:  I agree with the area on the bust. It seems like they were trying to incorporate the bow on the inspiration dress. Other that that. I think it is spot on!

Here are the edits I am requesting so far:

1. Add a flat bow to the belt as wide as the current width and as long as the red mark indicates. Something like what is on a kate spade bag

2. Edges of this seam more cut around the lace pattern to give a more scalloped appearance where this attaches

3. Switch this appliqué out with champagne colored one to softer the appearance of the transition between the top and the skirt. I actually like the lace patten I see on champagne parts (the second “3” I circled) and will request this lace might be cut out to use as the appliqué instead of the current ivory one.

I might have a couple more edits for the top too when I can get some close ups of that and the beading. I’ll post those pics too when I have them!

esi.adokowa.aidoo:  so glad you like it. I’m over the moon with how similar it is to the original. Good luck on your journey. I went for designer fabric and it’s chiffon and satin I think

Unfathomably:  do you mind sharing via PM where you got your dress me? I’m looking to get a reception dress made and I’m not sure THE SHOP would be able to finish it in time due to their holiday break.
