This is the inspiration dress and this is the remade one.

It’s likely that it was a communication error and this was the reply I received after emailing Summer:

On Dec. 12, I emailed the customer that:

2) If the customer wants to use strechy materials, there will be additional cost to change out those lining. $75 for changing the bodice, $135 for changing the entire dress.

On Dec. 14, customer replied that:

“I would be happy to change material for the whole dress in order to get the desired effect, however I wish someone could have advised me on this earlier – as a customer, I do not have the same expertise as your production team and I would have appreciated suggestions from my consultant based on the images that were sent over instead of these further adjustments.

Please let me know the details to transfer over the money and I will send through a Western Union transfer this weekend.

However it was my subsequent replies on further emails because James actually never re-confirmed clearly to go ahead with changes that might have made the whole situation a bit confusing – as it was implied that he would be checking with the production team first.

My reply (19 Dec 2014) – “Please let me know if I should go ahead with the payment to change the material to a softer material, and the details needed.”

James replied (20 Dec 2014) – “We should have photos of the remade dress soon. They started remaking it a couple of days ago.

It could have been a communication breakdown, but honestly I feel like they should have been very clear when they were actually changing the dress material (and also because I don’t think there was much of a difference).

Photos of inspiration dress with – I requested longer sleeves and decided to do the beading locally as I couldn’t get them to do in a way I was pleased with (and they do charge for every subsequent photo set).

acekrusher:  I really don’t know how to help you, but for me it looks like the dress is the whole opposite of the original once…

I’m sorry, but it looks so cheap and so chinese on the photos… perhaps it looks more beautiful in real.. I enven can’t tell you what the problem is, but it’s a really heavy and different dress…

Ladies My dress arrived yesterday. I had no idea it was going to arrive in time. I had no idea it was even sent! It had been ready for weeks but we had been having issues with WesternUnion (DO NOT SEND ANY PAYMENTS VIA WESTERN UNION!!! ) and it was so much back and forth. I was trying so hard to get the dress before the Chinese new year. I was getting so frustrated as well- to be honest there were a few things that I wanted to change on the dress(example: molded cups) but I decided not to because I was afraid it would take too much time. The customer service is definitely lacking. I don’t think it’s Kimmie or any of the others fault, I actually don’t think they are physically there at the shop so their communication depends on whoever is there getting back to them and them getting back to us. Anyway the dress is INSANE. It’s GORGEOUS..I specifically didn’t want any final product ion pics just to save money so I was amazed when I got the dress- the detail on the front especially is amazing- they sowed on pearls, and beading and it’s just more than I could imagine. The fit is close to perfect- The top needs to be tightened (my fault for wearing a padded bra during measurements) and my dream would have been molded cups, but I am so so so happy with the result. My coworkers were AMAZED. The only issue? There is a very strange black stain underneath the dress, on the satin but NOT on the lace. I’m so confused as to what it is- I was so careful taking it out (I took it out once at work to look at it briefly, but not completely) and then when I put it on a couple of hours later I noticed the stain. It looks like a hand mark of soot or something black. I took it immediately to a seamstress here and she said they’d have to completely take apart the dress in order to get to the stain but that the stain wasn’t made by me because it was underneath the lace. I’m so distraught- I emailed Kimmie who is checking with the production team as they take final pics regardless before shipping. The odd thing is that when looking at the stain at home, underneath a strong lightbulb in my room, you cant see it well, but in a darker light it is very obvious. I’m so confused as to what it is and so scared it won’t come off. And its so obvious! Anyway I’m trying to keep my hopes up and waiting for an appointment with a weddingshop here to see what they can do, if anything. But, as for the rest (and I know there are a few bees who ordered a similar dress) I can tell you it’s just beautiful.

Did any bees go and try on their inspiration dresses just to see if it looked good before having one made?

I feel like I need to try something on before I commit and then hate it…but I feel terrible about wasting consultants time when im definitely not going to be buying.
