nygirla:  Looks beautiful! But should the beading in the back run all the way down to where the lace hits the tulle? Some of those pictures do look like ivory over white, it’s hard to tell. Could just be a lighting issue.

winterxrose:  Thanks! That was one of the modifications I requested. Instead of the 2 heavily beaded lines coming down, just have it come into a “V” shape at the lower back. Yea the lighting is horrible in the pictures so I just sent her an email confirming the colors used. Also asking for some side shots.

CONTRI:  Thank you!! I really do love it! I’m very impressed with the cups 🙂 Just the slight minor things are bothering me but Im hoping I can just have a local seamstress fix them. I wont bother telling them about the long eyelashes.

In the lower back close up picture: Should I have the lining lowered so it ends where the beading is? What do you think about that?

Also, the zipper looks too exposed. Can that be made more hidden??

The train does look very flat so I dont know if I should tell them to add more tulle layers to it or if that’s something a petticoat will fix?

Thank you so much everyone for the help!

CONTRI:  Have you considered Tradsey? I was seriously considering purchasing a dress from there before I found these boards.

Just a random question! Who ordered a replica dress without trying the same kind on? Anyhow who tried on different kinds of shapes and added them together? But haven’t tried it on all together yet? Or some bees who haven’t tries anything close to it but still ordered it?

berchiena:  I’m crazy and didn’t try on a single wedding dress before ordering my gown. (I know, I know…but I’m really not a fashion person and I hate shopping so wedding dress shopping just sounded like a huge pain for me.) It worked out fine for me with a fit and flare wedding gown. I think if you know your body and have a vision it will be fine. I’m pretty sure there are a bunch of bees who combined different dresses into one?

Zelda1:  Thank you!

I have a question for those bees who received replica dresses…

Was there a local alterations tailor that you knew you wanted soon as your dress came in you were going to see for any potential alterations? How far in advance did you schedule an appointment with them?
Or, did you wait until your dress came in and just go to whatever seamstress was available last minute??

I just called 3 potential alteration specialists I’ve been eyeing over for the last few months. These 3 ladies had hundreds of rave 5 star reviews that I knew either one of them I’d be able to go with but they are fully booked and will not be able to take me. I feel so down right now  🙁

On the other hand, there are other possible tailors I can go to but I dont know how reputable they are, especially since were dealing with my wedding gown. I just had my heart set on those 3 potential ones and it just makes me sad that they’re all so booked. One of the first things they asked was when my wedding date was and they just knew it was too close to be able to work with me.

FYI my wedding date is August 9th. I told the Shops that my wedding was July 11th so the dress would be done ahead of time just in case of mishaps and now Im wondering if I should have told them earlier than that (Too late for that anyways)

I know many bees said to not bother with the minor things and to just get it fixed when it arrives but I have lost all hope and now I’m contemplating on just having the Shop fix those minor things because I dont know if I’ll be able to meet a tailor to handle those minor things that are bothering me in time.

Bees help me out here please!!
