I have taken the plunge and gone with Cherry from 2.0. So far I have found her communication to be fantastic… I was going to go with The Shop but they took ages to get back to me and I was unsure they would meet my deadline of November.
Quick question for bees who have ordered from either 2.0 or The Shop… What was the lining like? I don’t want any shine coming through the lace… Ideally I wanted a lining some stretch but not too thick ( Australian Bee… so it could be ridiculously hot come end of November). Any feedback appreciated
I guess I’ll hold off on the zipper until it comes in but I’ll definitely ask for more fullness in the skirt. Also, it may be just me but look at the beading in the front it doesnt seem symmetrical? And the lace in the lower back looks a bit choppy..
Hello bees, I decided to go for Cherry ,SHOP 2.0. Prompt replies and it’s within my budget. It’s a mash up of 3 dresses. Below is my inspiration picture.
For the top, I ask Cherry for a design with the silhouette in picture (B), with no cap sleeves and filigree lace lining the deep plunge V-neck area, and filigree with see-through mesh at the shoulder area as shown. The filigree in these area has pearl beading except the main bodice itself but I do want pearl to embedded on outer layer of filigree lace at the V plunge. Just like picture. For the back it will be an open back design connected/closed at the top by the same lace filigree motifs like the lace along the shoulder for continuity. The open back portion will have a line of pearls down the spine area such as shown below Picture B. The open back to be held up by nude mesh so that the line of pearls will align properly on my back. I ask also for a train that is not too long, ideally like Picture A, the train to start right at my knee and not above.
Hopefully she is able to search something that is almost similar for the top but am not particularly picky on that. FINGERS CROSSED 😀
I basically used Unfathomably’s dress (which I ADORE) as a base and made some alterations to make it more “me.” They have been really great this whole time and as long as I get pics this week will have completed my dress in 8 weeks. I think the fact that they’d already done a dress very similar helped. How long did it take them to do your dress from order date to getting pics? I also paid a “Rush fee” when I placed my order because I saw a few bees were having issues with their timelines. I think they went through a rough time where they may have committed to too many orders or something- because they seem to have pulled it back together!!
No, but I’m wanting to keep it modest/simple. So hoping to have a straight neck line or a very gentle scoop neckline. I’m currently looking for bodices that would go with the dress design. Also, the jacket is kind of squarish, so I would like to see if I could get it more rounded/curved/tapered. Like in the below image, only I want to keep the sleeves sheer, embellished, and 3/4 length (as the original image).
