llussier:  Beautiful! That’s definitely a good idea. It accentuates the waistline and I think it would be really pretty with the rosette embellishments! Thanks

To the bees who ordered from The Shop does anyone know who we can contact if your consultant is not replying your emails?  I ordered using the guarunteed 10 week service (because I didn’t have a lot of tie and we’re now in the 10th week) and this past Sunday Liza told me to expect some delays (because during production they had asked more questions about my neckline and to verify one of my measurements).  I’m now freaking out because I sent her back an email asking how long the delays would be but she’s not replying.  I’m wondering if something’s wrong with my dress or if she’s just too busy.  I just want to know how long the delay would be.

Update Bees, just got my response from Liza and my dress will be done in another week.  I’m so excited and nervous at the same time.  Will update you when I have it 🙂

So the beading was done a lot faster than expected and I have the final photos!

My dress isn’t strictly a replica in that I combined the front and back of two dresses, and added a fixed sash from another dress I love. I mentioned in my earlier post (on page 29 I think for those of you who want to see the inspiration photos) that they embroidered the design for me and I really like how it turned out. The back especially is a nice surprise because I didn’t have a reference photo for how the pattern should look and left it to them.

I would say they did a good job of following through with my sketch, with the exception that they embroidered with a light pink thread instead of off-white as I had requested. But as I meant for the dress to have a blush hue anyway (layering off-white silk chiffon over light pink satin), I’m able to accept it.

I’m going to ask for a close-up of the beading because it doesn’t look like there’s a lot done. But I’m also kind of torn if I should just leave it subtle like this or ask for more pearls to be added.

I notice that the gaps between the buttons are kind of uneven right now, and they aren’t so much diamond-shaped but oval. Bees, do share anything else I might have missed, thank you!

mmalbroue:  and all other bees following my journey.

I just got another beading sample. I think it is much closer to the accrual dress, and I will likely approve it.

Linksye they actually did have a row of glass beads on the first sample, but it was completely invisible to me. I asked for a different type of crystals.

Inspirations

First try- they had white glass beads where you see the red line.

Beading chart : they had b3 in above, I asked then for b2

Here’s the latest sample. The glass beads are shinier than the original, but a little bling never hurt anybody 🙂

Let me know your thoughts!  Thanks bees!

And I’m sorry Zelda! I stole your green picture with the bearing on it and asked if they could use the A2 for my dress instead the sequin

Zelda1:  thank you! Don’t you think those A2 will be better for my dress then the sequin? I hope I wasn’t to rude to her when I said i would like them to change all the sequins to the A2 shaped rhinestones.. I feel that sequins will look cheap? Maybe im wrong?

berchiena:  ask her to change in one flower and send a pic. I personally love sequins, but maybe you are onto something here. One flower will allow you a decent comparison.

Zelda1:  awesome! Thank you! Will do! I would still leave the teardrop shaped beading thing in sequin.. I guess I have something in mind and not sure if this dress is what it was? Either way it would look better once I’ve have it on then laying on the floor for a picture.. 😊
