I have a sentimental, heirloom transitional diamond that I am thinking of setting into a petite solitaire. I have larger hands at ring size 6.5-7 (depending on the day and the weather). My stone is about .40/4.5mm.
I love the look of smaller, understated solitaires, and I’m trying to get an idea of how this would look in practical terms. So I’m interested in seeing your smaller (.30-.50) solitaires on ring sizes 6 and above! Please share pics of your smaller but mighty sparklers!

lahela017 : Your ring is beautiful, and looks great on you! It also looks beautiful with your band.
Thanks for sharing.

I wear a US size 6 for my ring finger. My fingers do look big for this though because I have no knuckles. So rings don’t stay put unless they are snug. I always thought I would need a big honker of a ring to make my sausage fingers feel cute. However I absolutely adore my little emerald, it feels very dainty to me 🙂
Personally I think you can rock any rock, regardless of finger chubbiness!

orangeblossomspecial : Mine isnt a solitare, and a little bigger than you asked for, but I thought i would share. Size 8 finger, center stone is 0.6.

I have a size 8 finger and a ~.60 solitaire. The stone was my great-grandmother’s from around 1918!

scully9000 : I somehow missed this. I wanted to tell you that your ring is so pretty, and even more special due to its meaning! What a treasure.
hunting_bride : I love the design of your ring–the sidestones are very Deco.
sarah2245 : A stunning emerald–thank you for sharing!
I would love to see more stones if anyone has them to post! After having my diamond evaluated, it looks like it’s a bit bigger than I thought–about half a carat. It dates from the 1940s and is such a sparkler! Most of all, though, it’s beautiful to me because of its sentimentality (I know, corny).

orangeblossomspecial : Normally, I wouldn’t post a picture in here because my engagement ring isn’t a solitaire. But I saw that you didn’t have a ton of replies … and my center stone is about a half carat (I think it’s .53 or something like that — sorry, I don’t remember the exact stats).
My ring size is 7. Apologies for the very rare “naked nails” picture. I was trying to find a picture that showed the size of the center stone compared to my finger.
And a shot that is a bit farther away …

I am a size 6.5 finger and I have a .50ct Round Brilliant in a Cushion Halo. We opted for a halo setting so I could get more finger coverage since my fingers are chubby lol 🙂
