I’m loving these ideas, ladies! My ring is a family ring (his mother’s) and already has a band, but it’s one that is obviously to be worn as a set and not alone, so for times when I’m worried about knocking out the diamond in the engagement ring (not huge- just raised on prongs) or getting it caught while working, we’re looking into a nice, unique band.

Ours are totally classic plain yellow gold bands.  The first picture shows just the rings; the second shows them on our hands after the ceremony.

MrsSnowMountain:  I wear my wedding band alone a majority of the time, my husband made it himself with his own 2 hands out of steel, it took him 2 days to perfect it and smooth it down to the most incredibly comfortable fit!

This is my soon to be anniversary band. Tungsten with a purple carbon fiber inlay.

I love my plain band. Every once in a while I’ll wear it alone and it is just so nice and careless. It screams married and always looks classy.
