@suburbian:  Dude, they drove an hour (plus an hour back) just to meet with us before we booked, and then did it again for our e-session. AND she had a sneak peek up the next morning.

And yeah, I had to do the -ishes. I have no idea how long our ceremony is going to be, and I refuse to be that bride who HAS to have everything exactly on schedule. As long as the morning and ceremony start on time (and no, I will not be waiting for anyone; if you aren’t ready, you aren’t standing). My biggest fear is that FI’s brother will be late, which is a huge part of the reason why I hope he backs out himself or Fiance asks him to back out and has his cousin be Best Man instead.

@suburbian:  Three years ago, I would have no worries about him performing the absolute basics, but now, I’m almost positive that he’ll either bail or fuck something up. I’m trying to write a post about it.

Im trying to figure out what to do for my timeline….We are having ur reception at a farm that about 25 min from the church. I REALLY want all of my wedding party photos out there….and Id prefer them to be before the ceremony while everyone is freshly done up. Im not sure what to do and its giving me panick attacks, so I just ignore it for now πŸ™

@suburbian:  We both really want to! We just dont know if we should drive 30 min out to the reception hall before the ceremony and have to drive all the way back. Seems like it could complicate the timeline or make us pressed.

@suburbian:  he’s getting more helpless as we get closer to the wedding day. i now say to him “omg! get it together…dude, you need a wife!” lol

he needs to know what he’s wearing, when he needs to be somewhere, and how much it’s going to cost. and i’m the one responsible for getting all of that together. good thing it’s my strength. πŸ™‚

omg

I was telling Fiance about the timeline and he was like, “Wait, the ceremony is at 4, why am I seeing you at 2:30?” Because our first look is at 2:30? “I thought that was when you walk down the aisle and I see you!” No, dude, that’s when it’s just the two of us and then we do pictures before the ceremony so people aren’t waiting around. “…Oh.” Doooooooooooooork.

We’re having a home wedding at 1pm. We’re setting up things as much as we can the day before, and then doing everything else the next day. My timeline looks like this:

  • 6a Wake up & get dressed by 63o
  • 63o Start cooking breakfast for everyone
  • 7a All wedding helpers are invited over for toast, eggs, bacon, tea/coffee
  • 73o Everyone starts decorating
  • 8a – 10 or 11am = decorations
  • 11a-12p Get ready! Having a friend do my hair and makeup.
  • 12p-1p Finish preparing. Make sure everything’s good to go.
  • 1p – GET MARRIED!
  • 1:2o – Kiss the groom! New Husband & I make our way to the drinks area to pop the champagne and begin pouring drinks while people set their chairs aside. (The timeline after here is hazy, haha)
  • People give their speeches and toasts.
  • Once the toasts are done and the guests are thanked for coming, everyone is invited to enjoy the snacks and drinks while the chef is BBQing.
  • Do we dance now?! Later?! Just stand around and let people congratulate us??!!
  • Food goes out, everyone eats and is merry!
  • Maybe we dance now… And then cut the cake?
  • Or cut the cake, enjoy some, and then dance?
  • A lot of fun, and then we clock out somewhere around 5 or 6 I think.
