Seriously? I would never guess that these were DIY.

We’re going to DIY ours and I don’t think mine will look nearly this great!

Target invite kit here – I got the invitation kit for $39.99/50 invites (which included the invite, outside envelope, RSVP, RSVP envelope and pearlized pocket envelope).

I had maps made by Etsy Seller, “lilacsandlace.” She originally was going to charge me $3 but she had them done w/in 24 hours, so I paid her $10.  I printed them off myself on heavyweight paper.

I had extra heavyweight paper so I did the Accommodation Sheet myself and printed it on the same heavyweight paper.  The contents all go together in the heavyweight pearlized pocket envelope.  Finally, I bought a patterned piece of paper from Hobby Lobby and cut it into strips to use as the belly band and put a pearl applique sticker on the front.

3 boxes of invitation kits – $119.97

250 sheets of heavyweight paper – $15.00

Maps – $10.00

Bellyband paper – 50 cents/sheet (will probably need 10 sheets) – $5.00

Pearl Appliques – $2.99/27 stickers – $16.60

TOTAL – Approximately $149.97 for 150 invitation suites

I just bought the same invites @Mandydee used from Michael’s. They were $11.99 for 50. Our colors are yellow, teal and navy. I’m planning on swapping out the black backing with blue cardstock and using a teal ribbon. I’m going to add a pocket on the back for the inserts and actually scan the flower and yellow border to make inserts for RSVP, Directions and Accomodations. I’m going to use the RSVPs that it came with for the Thank You’s when the time comes.

Super excited about these. They are pretty perfect since I’m going with a black eyed susan theme.

I got my sample kit from cardsandpockets.com and created a mock-up for my Fiance so that he could see everything put together. Once I got everything positioned in photoshop, it was pretty easy to print everything out and cut it down to the size I needed. Yay for low budget invites!

We used the Brides Invitation kits from Michael’s and only bought them when we had 40% off coupons so we got a great deal.

Jealous!  My mother told my to get “cheap” ones and make them myself…I never would’ve thought I could pull it off so I spent more then needed ordering them.  All the invitaions above are gorgeous!  Congrats to DIY brides!!!

Ours are from Walmart $19.00 for 50. The ink was about 40.00 to print after all was said and done, that included the maps my hubby to be designed.
