I’m getting ready to mail invites out 🙂 Before I go drop them all in the mail I am going to go have them weighed just to be sure; however, I thought I’d ask you all what you thought:
The invitations include:
1. The outer envelope
2. The inner envelope
3. The invitation (5×7 inch flat card 110 lb 16 pt cardstock)
4. The rsvp envelope (with stamp-I know not important for my quesiton)
5. The rsvp card (5X3.50 inch flat card 110 lb 16 pt cardstock)
Do you think this is going to take more than regular postage?

@bestwishes: to be safe, I would take one finished invite to the post office, they will weigh it, and you’ll know if you’re close to the max or not.

You will probably need one $.60-70 something cent stamp (I’m not sure what ti is with the recent rae increases) or 2 normal stamps.

I had the outer envelope, 5×7 invitation, three 3.5×5 inserts, and a chiffon ribbon – it was exactly 1.0 ounces. I would take a completely assembled invite to the post office, and make sure, but it sounds like you might be ok with one stamp. But definetly go get one weighed to make sure – the last thing you want is to have them all returned for insufficient postage.

A friend of ours sent an invitation very similar to yours with just one stamp. In Canada, but still… It was obviously the normal weight.

That sounds very close to the specs for my invitations and they were $1.10 to mail.

I went to the post office today — She weighed them and I forgot exactly how much they weighed but she said 1 regular stamp was enough 🙂
