hey march brides,
i thought i should give you a heads up, in case you didn’t know. first class mail is going up to 46 cents on January 27. For March brides this is probably smack dab in the middle of your RSVP timeline. make sure you either use forever stamps on your RSVP envelopes OR if you print custom stamps, you print 46 cent stamps just to be safe.
I did not and now i have to tell all my guests to hurry up and send them back before 1/27 or else they’ll have to add additional postage to the RSVP. not cool!!!!

Ugh, not cool! Although, did you use Forever stamps? because those will be good regardless of the increase…
Post # 4
not a march bride but thanks for the heads up! I should get some forever stamps now
Post # 5
@razzelbride: Again? It just went up a year ago! Geesh better get my thank you cards out then.

Hello! I literally had a panic attack about that on Monday morning (I’ve turned into a crazy person). I went to the post office that day, and the 45 cent stamps for weddings that have the white roses on them are forever stamps, so if you buy them now, they will be okay!

unfortunately, I did not use forever stamps. Actually, I believe that the new rule is that ANY stamp you purchase at the post office (first class mail anyway) is a forever stamp. BUT I printed custom postage from Stamps.com and so it is not a forever stamp. DUMB!!!!!!! (although, I have to say, my stamps do kick butt!)

Good to know! That’s pre invitation-sending time for me, but we can still stick up on forever stamps now so we save a few cents 🙂

HOLY CRAP!!! mine just went out YESTERDAY!!!! with a Feb 1st RSVP date…how do I know if they were FOREVER stamps? They were the one with the Flag on it?~!?
they say FOREVER on them.
FYI, First Class stamps with cent value on them are NOT Forever stamps. If you look around online, people have been sent back their mail because they were 1c short.

Thank you for letting us know! I had no idea. Postage is getting way too expensive 🙁
Post # 12
I heard about that this week. Am going to stock up for our invites!
Thank you for the heads-up! Just bought my forever stamps!!
Oh thanks for this note. I know overall you’ll only save a dollar or so by buying them now, but why not save 1$, right? Also a good point that the RSVPs won’t make it if there’s not enough postage.

I am SO GLAD I saw this post. I hadn’t read this yet and I was going to buy my stamps tomorrow for the RSVP’s as the invites are going out on Monday with a due date of 2/1! I will definitely be buying the forever stamps for them now.
