I keep finding out through the grapevine, and directly, that quite a few invitations never arrived! Right now, we’ve heard from 5 or 6, and still have about 30 people to try to get in touch with to make sure they got one.
Did this happen to anyone else?
I’m so stressed, and they aren’t even all in the same area, so it’s not like the post office dropped one pile. They’re just missing. I don’t have any extra invites – maybe 2 – so I have to get their RSVPs by word of mouth, or they are adding onto their relatives RSVP.
Out of everything I thought might happen during wedding planning, this was not one of them!

I have not sent my invites yet but this happened with my STD’s. I had people calling me and asking why so and so got one and they didn’t. It was kind of a nightmare. We are making sure we have extra invites in case this happens with them so we can just send out another one to anyone who didn’t receive one.
It will all work out. As long as they show up!

try to keep things in persepective…yes, it’s really annoying when things get lost in the mail, especially if you put a lot of work or spent a lot of money on the invites, but, as Leesh pointed out… the only thing that matters in the long run is that they be communicated the important info about your wedding! 🙂
