A video? That is probably what will happen next – with the twitt who isn’t getting enough attention by making every single post of hers relevant to her wedding – which is an entire year away… very annoying.

Yeah, I’ve seen ring pics on FB – I think that’s fine since usually it’s in an album of the proposal…I think it would be weird NOT to put a ring pic up!

Sorry just realized you may have taken offense from my post!  It was too late to edit my response so I didn’t want you to think I was calling putting pics up on FB tacky, just a video!  I didn’t mean to insinuate that your ering pics on fb were tacky!! Sorry 🙂

Yeah, I think it’s a little much. To be honest, I’m usually more amped about seeing sweet pictures of the happy, newly engaged couple that I am about seeing 50 million angle shots and/or videos of an inanimate object. That’s just me though.

Hmm, I wouldn’t personally do that because I think it’s tacky.  But I wouldn’t exactly judge someone else that did it.  Although I think that’s more appropriate for a forum like here than Facebook.

I think a picture or 2 is fine, especially if they are in with the wedding/engagement album or whatever. I like to see peoples rings, especially “arty” shots. It is weird when someone only has pictures of their ring up, or a million pictures of the ring and like 2 of the man. Then its pretty clear which is more important.

If a FB friend of mine posted a video of her ring, to be honest, I’d watch it, but I would definitely snicker a little afterwards. IMO, that just screams “materialistic” and that they are looking for validation and attention. It would also make me think that the poster viewed their ring as a status symbol.

I think you should post the photo of you smiling with your ring from the other post. It’s such a happy photo and your ring looks fantastic!

personally i would never make a video of just me flipping my hand around…it seems awkward. It kinda comes of as materialistic too. But I’m not gonna lie I like seeing people’s rings and especially if you have friends or family who live far away it may be their only   chance to see it until the wedding.

it’s an interesting dilemma.

I noticed a lot of the FH on youtube posting pics of the rings they chose. What do y’all think of that?
