@yamina81:How many did you send? I would call them personally and tell them the date has changed w/o telling them all of your personal business. If the guestlist is not too extensive I would send a little note to everyone expressing the change, letting them know you will keep them posted on the new date and how much you and Fiance appreciate their support.. Be cute and clear w/o telling all of your business.

@yamina81:No, I would do a cute card with the initial of your future last name or any cute card that is blank inside so you can write a personal message. Something you can get at Target for cheap, colorful (if you don’t want to do the initial) and cute. I would write a little message like this:

Dear Aunt Jackie,

After careful consideration John and I have decided to postpone the wedding until the Spring of 2012. We are super excited to become husband and wife but at this time we have other obligations that require our immediate attention. We will keep you posted on the upcoming details, we appreciate your support and love.

Warmest Regards,

John and Jane

What do you think?

@Soladylike: that is realy awesome info.  I think this should be something stated for all bees, sometimes stress becomes too much and they need to know that they can say no, or make a change gracefully and knowing that it won’t offend people.  I think it would help alot of brides relax. 🙂
