Why would you send out RSVP’s?  I mean, I imagine you would resend an entirely new invitation (including RSVP cards) when you get closer to your revised wedding date.  And you do need to call everyone you sent invitations to in order to let them know the wedding has been postponed…

I’m not sure I understood your question exactly, sorry!

I would send a note with a revised RSVP card letting your guests know your new date/time/etc.  I wouldn’t bother with the expense of a whole new invite, since it was postponed due to illness, and you’ll likely have some medical bills.  Your guests will understand!

You should definitely send a new RSVP card, though, since it’s a totally different date, and people’s plans will be different for that day than your original day.  In the meantime, call and spread the word through friends that your original date will not work and a card with the new date and time will be mailed ASAP.  In your situation, I would send them sooner rather than later, even though your new date is further out (I’m assuming it’s the Sept. 2012 one), just because it’s changed.  Again, your guests will understand. 🙂
