hi all! i am having a tough time with my processional song…i really really love “Ho Hey” by the Lumineers…i think the music and the chorus is so upbeat and sweet and cheery and i just love it! i get teary eyed when i picture walking towards my future husband to that tune…however, the rest of the lyrics are about a lost love and not so wedding appropriate…wondering what people’s thought are, if i should just go with it, or try and get a DJ to tune out the lyrics except for the chorus…or if there are any other suggestions for a cheery and sweet processional song? we are a pretty bubbly happy couple and want to reflect that-thanks so much!!!

thank you! i had thought about that, so i am glad someone else said it…is that a too non-traditional processional song or is it cute and different?

Ok, so I’m having literally the exact same concerns as you. I am also getting married the same day. lol
I know that there are parts in the song that aren’t too wedding-y but I’m figuring no one will pay attendtion to the verse. As overall, it’s so sweet and positive. Also it is fairly short so timing-wise it should work as well.
I know exactly how you feel about that song. Whenever I hear it, I see myself walking down the aisle to him. I tried to find another song but I can’t. This is the one!
I’m having an outdoor wedding and I think it will be perfect for waking through the yard. I say go for it! If you visualize yourself at your wedding then this is probably your song.

@MrsElliott: I’m doing instrumental for songs, to help combat this
