I think the color might be the issue.  The sample was ivory and the floral appliques blended better and didn’t stand out as much as they seem to on the white.  I think the ivory of the sample was softer looking.  Just a thought but I don’t think you can go wrong with any of the 3 dresses.  You have to go with your heart… if that is the Vera, then go for it because it is beautiful and you will feel beautiful in it.  don’t go with a dress that you have hang-ups about.

I like the Marissa but I agree with you on the Vera.  I think the Marissa is beautiful but more of a model/magazine dress.  The Vera is what would make you feel like a bride.  I honestly would chose the Vera too.  I think it looks great on you!

I totally get your feelings about ballgowns making you feel the most bridal. I’m the same way. If that’s what’s going to make you feel transformed, go with the Vera. It’s a pretty dress and the alterations you mentioned will look great.

I think you should wear whichever one you feel comfortable and beautiful in. In my situation, my FI’s family custom make, sell and alter wedding dresses. I tried them all on. Everyone liked all the puffy styles, and I did too. But it’s one thing to think a dress is beautiful and quite another to wear it on your wedding day. My family and Fiance, saw the dress I chose. It wasn’t a WOW dress, and my Fiance thought it was very simple. His mother said she thinks I can do better. But her taste and my taste are quite different.

But I thought about it for 7 months.. and when I see dresses, or think of them, it is the only dress that I felt like myself in. So, I think at the end of the day, it doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks. You are the one wearing it. You should feel beautiful, relaxed and comfortable. Feel like yourself. Whichever dress makes you smile and tilt your head, get that one. Oh and P.S.  After you choose, STOP looking. You will always find dresses that you like, but you can only wear one. Good luck, and trust YOUR instinct..

I love the Marisa. But it’s not about our taste, it’s about yours. If you think any one dress makes you feel happier, then that’s the right dress for you.

Do what makes YOU happy!!!!

First off…regardless of everyone’s tastes are, there’s no denying that you look fab in all three dresses!  So you really can’t lose!  I say go for the one that gives you the least amount of stress and makes YOU feel good!

@meliss- I had the same experience with the LZ3003. I couldnt figure out what it was, but that sample dress was brand new to the store and it was super stiff. After I tried it on, I went home and watched the Lazaro runway show and I was wondering why the sample I tried on didn’t move like the one at the runway show. You said your sample came straight from a runway show? I wonder if those dresses aren’t a little different than the ones that come straight from production. Or maybe they do something extra to them? It’s not fair for them to have a sample that’s not a true representation of the actual dress you will order.

I think its that it is new and may be more flowy once its been out of the box for a while since it is made of tulle.

Also the difference in the sample fitting properly may be in the bust size. The size 6 is made for bust size 34, where the 10 is a bust size 36 which seemed to have fit you perfectly. Here is the Lazaro size chart. Because of your tiny frame they had to try and accomodate based on the size chart. They tried to order my Lazaro in a 12 because even though my bust size is 34 and fit a 6 my hips they said are between a 10/12. I forced them to order me a 10 because I know I could just work out and lose the 1/4 inch off of my hips if I needed to. I wasn’t going to pay extra to alter that. lol But here is the link to the Lazaro size chart I found online. By The Way my Lazaro dress should be here any time now. Will let you know what I think when it comes in.

The Marissa is the most flattering on you. You are very thin, but curvy. I think that the more gentle lines of the Marissa helps soften your figure and looks very romantic and plays down your girls a little – in a good way.

You know what the lady at the Macy’s bridal salon said that the Lazaro samples are custom made to fit the models. So she told me not to go by how well it fits me in the store and by the size chart so you are absolutely right. Meliss you and I are similar. lol I am looking at a flowy dropped waist ballgowns too even though I love my Lazaro because I want something with sparkles and makes a grand statement. I also will more than likely be wearing my beautiful Lazaro to my reception. You look pretty in your Vera and the pictures you posted don’t do it justice as they are dark, fuzzy and on a camera phone. Plus you are not all done up like you will be on your day so I say go with your heart. Think about it this way, if you don’t get it will you look back thinking I wish I would have? If so, then get it. Hope you update us with the professional pictures once you are all done. They will be beautiful and he will think you look great when he sees you in person. 🙂

I think you look beautiful in all of them, but as I said before im not liking the vera. I have seen it at glamour closet it has been there awhile. Also, i wouldnt get it since your fiance has already seen it and doesnt like it.

I think you should complain to the store about the lazaro not fitting right. It definitly looks different than the sample you tried. You paid alot of money for that dress, and you have the right to let them know you arent happy.
