I like it but I think I would also use a few wood screws- screwing each flat section  into the length of the branch above it. It would definitely take some looooooooong screws.

Ladies make sure you let the wood dry over several weeks before using. We split wood for our plate chargers and Fiance said, dont put them in heat, let’s let them dry in the shed. So obviously I threw one in my car to show my momma…. and crackkkkkk right down the middle! Otherwise, cute, fun, love!

I like it, I really do. BUT… please consider sealing the wood somehow to make it a bit more food friendly if you are going to use it for cupcakes. Being a baker, some alert bells are going off in my head. I would make sure they are sanded and sealed… but I really love the idea!

I did this for our wedding.  It was really easy as we didn`t have to screw or glue anything…just stack them up.

We let them dry for MONTHS in a heated garage…I was shocked how long it took.  Then we sanded them down and wiped them clean(ish) with a damp cloth.  I didn`t want them sealed and they were really clean….no issues with the cupcakes sitting on them.
