What kind of dip was it?  I make buffalo chicken dip a lot, it’s always a hit.

Otherwise, pinwheels/rollups, deviled eggs, taco dip, pigs in a blanket, meatballs, veggie pizza, and antipasto squares are pretty standard potluck items for us.  We don’t do fancy for potlucks. 😉

How about those Pillsburyturnovers? They’re quick to make and fun to eat!

What kind of dip have you made previously?

Yep, I make my buffalo chicken dip in a pan on the stove and then transfer it to a mini-crock pot for serving.  Just a tip on this recipe, I tend to reverse the proportion of buffalo sauce to ranch because we like our dip spicier (though it’s super easy to make this dip to taste) and I always incorporate all of the shredded cheese rather than sprinkling on top, as I find that it just leaves you with a greasy layer of cheese.

Okay… so this may sound silly – but Grape Jelly Meatballs.  Its super simple – just buy the precooked frozen meatballs, add Heinz Chili Sauce and grape jelly and mix it all together in a crockpot.  Id probably thaw the meatballs out first, just in case.

Just trust me.  Its amazing.

@MLDoddie:  +1 That’s how we make ours and they’re delicious!

ETA: My family is in town this week for my wedding and we’re cooking out for the Packers/Bears game on Thursday night.  You’ve all inspired me to do a full out tailgate party.  Yay!

@MLDoddie:  Sweet and tart meatballs are yummy, this recipe is a super easy trick to get the same taste with less work.

Another option is to use grape jelly and apple juice, makes an amazing sauce.

@ OP:

Why not make a macaroni salad with raisins and chicken in it, simple, and very tasty and many people love macaroni salad. If there are  not nuts allergy issues I always add some sort of nuts or seeds to mine for added crunch.
