I had never even heard of this until the other thread. It sounds interesting. I love cheese fries, but am not sure about the gravy.

When my american cousins would visit us in Canada we had some fun with poutines. They looooved it.

I’ve never had it, but I hate gravy so I probably wouldn’t like it!

I’ve never had it, but I think it’s something I would love. As is I love dipping my fries in brown gravy…particularly cheese fries.

My family lives in montreal and they love it, we visited this past summer and Fiance and I just thought it was ok. But I did LOVE the smoked meat sandwiches!

My dad’s family came down to Massachusetts from Montreal, but I have to say-maybe they didn’t like it, because I’ve never had it! lol.  I would love to find family members there though, so if anyone is a Bessette or a Poirier, I’d love to have you contact me! 🙂

I had never even heard of it before today (on the other food post).  I’m not a fan of gravy, so i’ll have to pass thanks!

@naturalysam: I’m marrying a French Canadian.. it’s my duty as a wife to like it! hahaha.

Harvey’s actually has the best “commercial” poutine but there is a place in Halifax that has some pretty decent poutine if you’re ever in the area.

    Butter chicken poutine?!

I love poutine, so very much. I lived on it in my summers in the Ottawa Valley! For some reason we don’t have cheese curds up here which makes me really sad and unable to eat real poutine. 🙁

I absolutely LOVE it! I don’t eat it very often, but it’s so good!
