YAY YAY YAY where is my invite because I want to be at your wedding and I am now seriously craving some poutine.

As for the naysayers saying it’s heavy and such – I’ve had some poutine that is not heavy at all and since it’s a buffet/station, people can add as much gravy as they want to keep it as heavy/light as they want, for some people it may just end up being some french fries so not heavy or messy at all. I also wouldn’t worry about it being heavy since you’re not doing a main meal, this will be perfectly filling.

My initial thought was “poutine omg YUM!” but then I thought about the gravy and the greasy fingers and the gassy, bloated, drunken sex afterward and thought better.

In the final analysis, it’s a NO

Well, I’ve never had Poutine before, but it sounds pretty awesome, so I say go for it.  As long as there’s enough food during the earlier part of the reception to cover the lack of a sit down dinner, I think it would be fine. Have fun!

@MrsPhilly:  For a late night buffet it’s perfect. Go for it, if you are able and want to. Smokes is so good.

On another note … so sad about St Albert’s. I guess no cheese curd fest this August 🙁

You’re gonna end up with gravy on your dress and cheese curds down the cups 🙁 Other than that tho sounds good :p

@MrsPhilly:  I don’t think the late night snack is supposed to be ‘classy’ its supposed to be drunk food after an awesome night of dancing! Most of the older people are gone by then anyway!

I love Smoke’s! A poutine bar at the end of the night would be awesome. I would love it if a wedding I went to had one!

I feel like stuff at the end of the night doesn’t have to be as “classy” as the rest of the wedding activities.  Once the dancing starts the event gets more relaxed anyways. That Poutin Bar thing sounds AWESOME.  I’d be so excited if I was at a wedding that ended with one!
