Hi All! We are having a hard time deciding/finding a first dance song. I want something powerful – with a build up to a strong instrumental part.
Some ideas and songs we like are: A Thousand Years by Christina Perri
Never Gets Old by Joe Nichols – we LOVE this song, but not sure about using it for a first dance.
Unchained Melody by the Righteous Brothers
Speechless by Dan and Shay
Those are just to give you an idea of what we like 🙂

We’re having for our first dance a song called “Every day I love you” by Boyzone (a late 90s/Early 00s boyband popular in the U.K.)
Its a slow one to dance to and the lyrics are just beautiful

We’re thinking about “Love You ‘Til The End” by The Pogues because they’re one of our shared favorite bands. It has a long instrumental intro, but it’s not orchestral.

brightsunshineyday : love it! Tempted to steal this… Have def added it to my list – thanks for reminding me! ☺️
bridgetkh9 : if you don’t have anything in particular you want, Tom Odell’s “Grow old with me” is really cute and has a great fun and lively build up.

bridgetkh9 : My sister and her fiancé used Make it to Me by Sam Smith. It starts with just acoustic piano, builds really nicely, and has huge musical swells perfect for twirls 🙂
