I got a colander (I am to lazy tonight to check if that is spelled right) once that was filled with everything I needed to make a spagetti dinner and I still love that gift.  One of the most practical and one I use all the time is the colander and pasta spoon.

I have found it is easy to put a gift together if you choose a “theme”. For an upcoming friend’s birthday (she is getting married next year and her color is purple) I am giving her a nice purple robe – she can wear it while getting ready on her day, some nice comfy fuzzy socks and a nice purple pajama set.

Another friend’s birthday is coming up too and I know she likes wine so I am giving her a bottle of wine she likes, a drink themed picture frame, and wine glass charms.
