There is nothing to do to prepare! We actually enjoyed pre-cana. It forces you to talk to each other about really important issues to make sure you’re on the same page. It also helped that the couple who ran our pre-cana were interesting to listen to.

yea just go with the flow. Darling Husband and I did a one day thing… and it wasn’t bad at all. mostly just sitting and listening and doing a few activities. Darling Husband hated it though but I think it’s just because he thought it was a waste of time and he hates organized church functions outside of Sunday church.

It’s not bad at all, just lots of talking about expectations and how to love each other.  No prep required.

We had a great experience at our Pre-Cana. Just go with an open mind, a willingness to share and communicate with your fiance, and ready ears to hear everything he says.

@Jessy727:  I know exactly how you feel, I was worried about it too.  I’m also a nurse and my fiance never gets weekends off so we both had to request off of work to go.  My fiance is a non-practicing Methodist and we also did the 9-4:30 class, it honestly wasn’t as bad as I expected it to be.  You work a lot out of a workbook and go through your answers with one another, then the class after everything is filled out and it was funny because we had the exact same answers as each other and other people had completely different answers so that made us feel good about ourselves as a couple.  Our class ended up not having a couple teach it and it did get a little boring at times, but it is pretty painless, just stinks that it costs so much.
