Breathe, dear!  It will all be okay. 🙂  I am in the same shoes, and sometimes I stress myself out SO MUCH over things that aren’t even on my plate yet!  Use your resources to start researching (you’re already doing that, so CHECK!), keep calm, and focus on the positives of your life!  Life has a way of taking care of these things, and I’m sure with your savvy research, some hard work and some saving, you will enjoy a beautiful wedding!

You are not the only one! I would say, though, that I have taken a lot of inspiration from BEAUTIFUL weddings I have seen on these boards for under $5000. My wedding will not be under $5000, but having blown more than half the budget on the venue we love and food we adore, the rest needed to be creative.

Breathe! Get inspired! Become crafty 🙂

Your wedding WILL be beautiful. Your wedding WILL be wonderful. You WILL look back on your wedding and smile. Why? Because it is YOUR wedding. You’re going to be marrying YOUR SO, the love of your life, and starting an incredible, lifelong journey together. Whether you do it in a courthouse, a church, a backyard, or a country club, on a $2,000 budget or a $20,000 budget, it’s going to be absolutely amazing because it’s YOURS!

So like the others have been saying…breathe. Smile. Remember what it’s all about–getting married. Starting a little family (whether that’s the two of you or includes children, whichever). I’ve seen beautiful, elaborate weddings on huge budgets just like you…and I’ve been to tiny, simple weddings with small budgets where the reception was at a small hall in a strip mall below a Buffalo Wild Wings: and it was one of the most beautiful, touching weddings I’ve been to because I could feel her pure joy and excitement over marrying the love of her life!

Also, the Bee is filled with inspiration on low-budget weddings: just because you don’t have a lot doesn’t mean it can’t be detailed and beautiful, it just means you have to think outside of the box and plan a little harder. And isn’t that the fun of it? My wedding will be on a less than $5,000 budget and I’m excited to work with that budget!

Start saving now since you aren’t engaged yet. Figure out if you can put away $100- $200 a month or more, while continually checking these boards to get money saving ideas.
