So I just made my first real pre-engagement wedding purchase. I promise I’m not a total crazy person!
I was walking through Michaels and saw some wedding invitations in the clearance section that were very pretty and floral- $10 for 40 invitations! I grabbed two and headed to the cash register and to my surprise they rang up as $5 each!! So I got 80 wedding invitations for $10. Unbelievable. I won’t be getting married until Summer 2015 or 2016, but this deal was too good to pass up! Here’s a pic of them (I apologize for the crappy cellphone pic).
I’ve always dreamed of a daytime summer wedding, and these fit the bill perfectly. And at 12.5 cents an invite… even if I fall out of love, I’ll still use ’em!
So Bees tell me, what wedding buys did you make before you got engaged?

Congratulations on finding such a great deal! The invitations are lovely. I know this is a touchy subject for many, but I’m guilty too. I bought a little bride and groom bear caketopper for $1.50. I call my SO “bear” so I couldn’t pass it up 😛
I mean, my SO already bought my ring, so why not? I see no harm if you don’t spend too much money and know that your relationship is moving towards marriage.

I already bought my shoes! They are awesome but I would grab more just in case!! Good thing about it, you already have the wedding colours picked out.

Not crazy! I’ve always loved milk glass, and I when I was waiting I started hunting for it in thrift stores and at garage sales. I didn’t even use or display all of it, because I had/have SO MUCH. Fiance, then boyfriend, was like, “What the heck, P? You don’t need any more of this stuff!” I told him I was saving it for our wedding in the future, and kept collecting. I’ll sell a bunch of it after we get married, but I’m glad I have for when we’ll need it!
