I’m not sure about all of you, but I’ve got about 6ish months left before I get engaged, and I have been desperately wanting to lose 15-20 lbs (long story short: got sick in college, doctors couldn’t figure it out, I couldn’t work out, gained weight, got diagnosed with asthma– good docs huh?) and tone up myself to get my rockin’ body back (haha). I want to lose as much of the weight as possible before I get engaged, mostly because I believe in my head that I have fat fingers and if I lose weight, my fingers will magically shrink (you can laugh, I do). I figure that if I start the process to lose weight now, by the time I get married, I’ll lose all of it and maybe more!
So, my big question, are there any bees out there that want to become buddies and motivate each other? I think this would be a great community to do this in, as we are all striving for the same goal– to look beautiful on our wedding days. Please respond, and I am off to the gym!

I actually have been really down lately because I’m feeling very un pretty and I just saw some incredibly gorgeous engagement photos from a friend that i’m insanely jealous of…
I wanna be beautiful in photos also, and i know losing weight will give me better photo confidence.
So yeah, lets do it!

I’ve already started! I’m tracking on loseit.com and I’m running like a crazy person. In the last month I’ve lost 7 pounds of fat! (And put on some muscle and water, so the final “weight loss” number is not as good as I would like. Grr.)

I’m in! I started hardcore working out last Monday (4-5x/wk – hardcore for me!). I’ve been doing fitness classes at the gym. eek!
Since dating my Boyfriend or Best Friend, I have gained ~30lbs. I would like to get rid of some of that before my anticipated/hopeful engagement and a friend’s wedding that I am a bridesmaid in at the end of this year. I totally believe that fingers get smaller, I dont care how irrational it seems!!

Yes- count me in. I just gave birth 4 months ago and even though I have lost all of my pregnancy weight- I would like to drop another 15 to 20 so I can fit into a dress size less or two.

I would love to join in! I just joined a boot camp in my area for february…we are having an engagement party probably around easter-ish, and I’d love to rock my dress…..hopeing to lose around 10-15 lbs of “love weight” (whihc is bs as I do NOT love this weight :P)

I’m totally in! I love losing weight and seeing the results…. but I also love cheese and alcohol. All of those things don’t go so well together when you throw in the fact that it’s winter.

I’m totally in – seeing I have got to a really good place in my waiting (and it does help to know that it is happening sometime soon) I’ve been cruising the fitness/wellness boards more than the waiting boards on this site anyway. I can’t deny though that I want to look totally slamming for e-pics and be able to buy a non-plus sized wedding dress. I’m currently doing home cardio and light free weights combined with WW – love the new plan 🙂

I’m in! I’m going to start dress shopping in April and I’m already dreading it because I’m afraid I won’t fit into any of the samples (I’m a 14 street size – once upon a time I was a 10). Time to get my ass in gear. I just got Zumba dvds and a WW online account. Also trying to talk Fiance into getting an elliptical machine for our “exercise room”, which currently has nothing buy cat toys in it. I really need this to hold me accountable. 🙂

How do you like the Zumba DVDs so far? I just tarted TurboFire last week and it’s really fun and definitely works up a sweat and gets my heart pumping.

@LaurenK0105: Me 3! I have been using the Lose It! app on my iPhone for a while. It really helps. But I need to step things up with the workouts. This cold weather…I have, though, been trying to watch the caloric intake, but I need to get my behind back in the gym. I have reached a plateau and it sucks!!!

Oh and I’m definitely in! I know that I don’t have a proposal coming any time soon, can I still be in? I want to feel good about myself for my family trip to Cabo in May, since I know I’ll be spending the whole time at the pool and getting a tan :). Plus, I just want to feel good about myself in general. My bf keeps telling me that I look great to him, that he thinks I’m sexy and whatever, but I need to do this for me. Besides, maybe if I’m super hot he’ll propose faster…. Eh probably not, but at least I’ll feel awesome!

I started P90X on Saturday and am majorly pumped by the way my body feels already. I’m sore as HELL but it feels fantastic.
I’m trying to lose the last 20 lbs…I’m already in pretty good shape, but I’m trying to go from bulky to lean. We’re going on vacation in late April so that’s when my goal is for. 99% of me is truly doing this for myself, while the other 1% is trying to up my stock value a little bit if ya know what I mean. 😉
Maybe we can do weekly check-ins? Like a “Monday Morning workout buddies” post where we can talk about our workouts over the past week and notate any achievements?

I’m in!!! I’m getting engaged within the next 5 months… though I’m REALLY hoping it happens on vaca next month. I have about 15 pounds I’d love to get rid of! I plan on shopping for the dress RIGHT after getting engaged. I know that wedding dresses usually run on the small side, so I’m already nervous about what my “bridal” size will be, LoL.

I’m in! I’m also trying to lose about 15 pounds – I gained about 30 pounds in college, and I’ve lost about half of it in the last two years, but now it’s time to kick it into gear and get back in top shape 🙂 I like the idea of doing weekly check-ins to see how we’re all doing.
Oh, and the fat fingers thing? I totally think that’s true! My class ring from college doesn’t fit as well since I’ve lost some weight.
