I saw a bunch of threads on weddingbee in which the bride put secret numbers to identify the RSVP.
Why not prefill the RSVP

I don’t know if it’s against ettiquette or not, it probably is, but the brides I’ve heard that have done this do not regret it! I think it makes it soooo much easier on you and your Fiance when getting back the RSVPs. There will still be people that will hand write in a guest wherever there is blank space, but that is how I plan on doing ours!

It is not against etiquette, it just takes a bit more time than putting a number somewhere on the RSVP so you can identify it later if necessary. I bought the little black light pen that other Bees have suggested so the number on the invite won’t be visible to guests.

I thought it was blank because people used to have their RSVP cards professionally printed, and it was cheaper to have them blank. I am pre-filling mine in, we are also putting a QR code on the RSVP card so people can use their smart phone to scan it and have it take them to the wedding website RSVP page, logged in as them, so they can fill it out and submit it instantly.
