I saw this idea on pinterest and want to do it. BUT…what could I use to wrap around the jars to put a picture or quote on them? What material would be best, since I want to use them as drinking glasses as well? Paper won’t work because it would get soggy from condensation…any thoughts?

You could attach the tag to a stir stick and place one in each jar
or tie a tag on with ribbon
you could paint a shape on the jar in blackboard paint, then paint the message in white paint

They make stickers with a dry erase or blackboard surface that you can stick on.

You also could get water proof labels from onlinelabels.com. They sell waterproof sticker paper in a variety of shapes and sizes and then you just print whatever you want onto them. I did this for customized water bottles and the paper works pretty well. The ink doesn’t smear at all during normal use when slightly wet, the only way I could get it to come off at all was to run the label under water and rub the ink off. The prices are really reasonable too if you are buying enough labels. Just remember to include the price of ink when you are budgeting!
