I would see about getting it dry cleaned. They are professionals and they will know how to take care of the dress without harming it.

By The Way I would just think the spots were from the bride walking, not that the dress was pre-owned.

I really dont think anyone would care if it was pre-owned!

I would have it cleaned. Every bridal boutique I visited had people that were experienced at cleaning dresses for around $200.00. I don’t know if I would trust a dry cleaner to do it before your wedding should anything go wrong you would be out of luck.

I live in a place with a really well-known and respected charity shop that sells pre-owned designer wedding gown, and even the most upscale brides here often buy their gowns there. No one cares about it being pre-owned.

I would have it professionally cleaned before you wear it, though, just to get out any stains that might be there.

Get it professionally cleaned and if the spots don’t come out don’t worry about it!  Everyone’s going to be looking at you, not the train.  Plus, everyone’s just going to think that the train got dirty because you were walking around, taking pictures.  Trains drag on the ground, those things get dirty sooooooo quickly.

@SweetChick:

Yeah just have it cleaned so it is fresh for you on your day. And like the PP said if there are minor spots on the train no big deal. My train was sooooo long and of course was pretty dirty after taking pre-ceremony photos. No one will thinking anything of it. 🙂

You should look into having it cleaned if it bothers you. On your wedding day, everyone will be looking at you and not the discolorations on the edge of the bottom of your dress. 🙂
