@ShellVee:  No problem! I would start prenatals sooner – it’s not going to hurt and your little eggs need all the nutrition they can get as soon as they can. The american pregnancy association recommends all women of child bearing age to get a lot of folic acid every day irregardless of TTC or not =) Plus they help your hair and nails grow!! =) GL!

I totally agree with ChuckNorris.  Barring a contraindication (like hemochromatosis), we all should be taking prenatal vitamins, or a folic acid supplement at the minimum.

@ChuckNorris:  +1 to the prenatal advice! I started taking about almost a year before TTC… Doctors always seemed pleasantly surprised that I started taking them so early. πŸ™‚

if I’m reading correctly, this will be your first pap? If so, it’s really not that bad and shouldn’t be painful. Most doctors will warm up the speculum (that’s what it’s called, I think!? Lol) and its super quick. You will be done in about 1 minute! Speculum in, they take a swab with a long q tip type thing,  which you can barely feel at all, and its not painful just a little awkward … Speculum out and done! Just try to relax, breathe… Start counting down from 100 and I bet you will be done by the time you hit 50 πŸ™‚ it’s really not a big deal at all, although I understand being anxious about it. Its a natural thing to feel uncomfortable about but honestly, once you have one you rent worry about them in the future. I mean no one WANTS one, but…. They are ok. πŸ™‚

good luck with your appt! The bees here are so amazing so come and vent, chat, ask questions etc anytime! Keep us posted!

@ShellVee:  Yes, take the prenatal instead of the multivitamin.

And when it comes to your cervix, the more anxious you are, the more it hurts. Stacey had great advice about counting backward! I seriously just try to go to my happy place and not think about it. You WILL cramp. But if you are not focusing on it, it will go away quickly.

I have had to go back twice before because of inconclusive results, no problems, just they couldn’t get results from my sample.  Try not to worry (easier said than done)

It may just be the MMR blood result because i’m pretty sure you can’t fall pregnant straight after getting a live vaccine – I think it’s something like 28 days afterwards before you can safely conceive – don’t quote me though πŸ˜‰

Good luck xox
