Welcome to TTC!  I’m using pre-seed and so far I like it a lot.  I’m not a scientist, but I do work in a store that sells personal care products.  From my training, I learned that parabens are extremely common preservative and are even in lots of foods we eat.  Here’s what Pre-seed’s website has to say about it:

“Why does Pre-Seed have parabens in it?
Preservatives, such as methylparaben and propylparaben (in Pre-Seed lubricant), keep products from growing bacteria. Unfortunately, other preservatives (Vitamin C, EDTA, etc.) can cause sperm damage or death. We chose to use methylparaben and propylparaben because they have very long histories of use and safety data.”

I tend to agree with their statement since it coincides with other things I have learned about parabens.  Pre-seed certainly has less of the questionable ingredients than the soap and shampoo most people use.

@MrsKitchenQueen:  Preseed is the only Parabens containing thing that I use, for the reasons that Macintosh brought up. My logic was that hopefully that I wouldn’t have to be using it very long and I don’t use very much of it when I do… I have one small bottle that has lasted us three cycles so far =)
