I got a spray tan for the first time ever.  I did a trial run a month or two before to make sure it would work.  It gave me a little bit of color so that I wasn’t washed out by the dress (I am SUPER pale).  I also never get my nails done and did that for the wedding, plus I got highlights for the first time ever…it was the first time I’ve colored my hair too.

I will be doing it all, and have a special savings just for it. Hair color, facials, nails, spray tan, etc. I want to feel lovely and pampered, and since it’s the only time I can justify it, I’m going for it!

Another vote to go for it if you have the money! Things that were important to me was hair extensions (clip ins), skincare, and nails.

I tan, wax, whiten my teeth and get my hair done regularly. I’ve also always worn extensions so for me those are must haves on a regular day, lol. For my wedding I invested in MASSAGES. Worth every penny and now a regular part of my monthly regime. I also invested in Ipsy, mainly for products (not makeup as much) so I could test out high end brands that worked for me long before the Big Day.

Facials and massages and reflexology would be my splurge!

I wear strip false lashes regularly so I need lash drama on the big day. I also know that after 8 hours or so I will start to “feel” them and need to get them off so it won’t work on a 12+hr wedding day. Ive never had lash extensions but I think this is a good time to try. Only problem is a big long thick set is $400 to apply and I’d kind of like to try them the month before to make sure I like them. $800 could buy hair and makeup for the WHOLE bridal party. Still undecided. I will definitely be doing a brazilian sugar and my regular cut & color that week.

wathenwedding17 :  I’m getting my hair cut and freshly dyed, i’ll whiten my teeth, get mani and pedi and do some face masks. I’m not sure if i want to do a facial. I have sensative skin and i’ve heard alot of horror stories but i havent decided yet. it also depends on the price.

Hair dyed, nails and toes done, eyebrows threaded, brazilian… that’s about it. And it’s what I normally do, I just timed it all up for the wedding. I didn’t go for any facials or anything else… Didn’t feel like it was necessary to change up my routine for one day! And I don’t regret it 🙂

I got a couple of facials and realized that although they are great, having a better daily regimen would probably give me a better, lasting result. Murad products work great for me, but they’re pricey. I splurged on about $250 worth of products, which I wouldn’t do normally! My skin looks great, so I’m glad I went for it.

I’m planning to get a mani-pedi the day before, but that’s the only professional thing.

I was going to pay to get my hair colored, but I taught myself to balayage my own hair. Huzzah for saving a couple hundred dollars!
