(Closed) Pre-wedding insomnia kicks in…..

have you tried to take something to help you relax/sleep? sometimes when i’m having a lot of stress i take melatonin and it knocks me right out!

That is no good! I’m tired right there with you, I was on the boards so late last night that I was dreaming about all the WB buzz! Melatonin works for ms, you can get it over the counter as a sleep aid, I take 1/2 a tablet and it helps me turn my brain off πŸ™‚ Good luck getting through the day!

Sorry you can’t take sleeping pills. I don’t like to take them, bu I think melatonin is something your body naturally produces…you might check with your doctor to see if it would be safe for you to take with your health concerns. My MD is the one who recommended it to me, she doesn’t like to prescribe sleeping pills for relatively young active people and that’s one reason I like her πŸ™‚

I’m with you! My wedding is 11 days away (AH!) I haven’t been sleeping right for the past few weeks. This past Saturday I went to be at 11:00. Then got back up and rearragned my bedroom AND my living room. Yes, I moved my queen size bed, my dresser, my couch, a recliner, and a whole bunch of random stuff all by myself all night long. I’m insane. Even when I take something I wake up, but am so drugged out and feel horrible.

I’ve been a zombie at work. Thank goodness my instructional assistant is AWESOME and puts up with me being basically worthless. I don’t know what I would do without that woman!

@LittleBruin: have you tried a glass of red wine and a little reading before bed? That always helps me sleep πŸ™‚
