(Closed) Pre Wedding Party wording

There is not really a  polite way to do this. You can’t dictate anything about gifts and it’s improper to host a pre-wedding function for people who are not invited to the wedding itself. I would delay and make it a post wedding occasion.

BeckersWife:  Does it have to be tied to the wedding?  Why not call it a family reunion, or a meet and greet?  Leave the wedding out of it entirely and then you’ll be fine.
