Ours was $275 for the Engaged Encounter weekend (included lodging and meals).

The rest of our ceremony is around $970…church donation, organist, soloist, altar servers, and donation for the priest.  It was worth it to us though…many outdoor locaitons in this area charge $1000 or more, and it was important to us to get married in the church.

Jenny, that’s about what we paid too.  So much more expensive than I thought!

A small price to pay for planning your future marriage.

What I don’t understand is why the NFP classes cost so much. And why don’t they just make that information available for free on the internet? I understand paying for the charts, thermometers, etc. But I don’t get why you have to pay to have access to the information on how to do it. Seems like the church should want everyone to have access.

Is it available anywhere for free?
