Have her create and sew a lining into the dress. At leaat you don’t need any control panels and seams. That must be horrifying.

Edited this because the last thing a tired mama needs at the end of a long week is a sassy gif. 😉 Your dress is lovely–a nude slip should do the trick nicely.

I hope you and your kiddo feel better soon. Get some good rest.

Can you get the David’s Bridal one in nude without the slit and have a seamstress put a slit in?

immoralbeloved:  I think she was trying to

A. Compliment you

and

B. Empathize with you about the seam issue and say that since you don’t want control panels that it should make it a little easier than trying to hide control panels would be.

If you just need a pretty plain nude slip Gap actually has a lovely selection.  I don’t think they have seams.

immoralbeloved:  You have such a wonderful body, neither too skinny, nor fat, just very well shaped. Don’t freak out and don’t worry over weight, seriously; most of our problems in that respect are caused by our own warped image of ourselves in our minds and not anything else. I, myself, have been at both ends of the spectrum and keep jumping from skinny too way overweight- so I know both the ‘where on earth have my curves gone??!!!’ and ‘gee, I’m an elephant again!’ kind of self-destructive thoughts. In any case, at least from this pic you seem to have everything in the right place, so don’t worry! I’m sure the previous comment was meant as a compliment. I sure envy you right now, as I’m looking for the biggest control tights the human world has invented! My brother’s wedding is coming up and I’m spilling out of everything.

But back to the underwear issue! Do you really need this long dress-like thing underneath? How about some mini, thin lacy or silky thongs? Do you think they’ll be visible?

Is there any kind of bust support or cups built into the dress? Those were a life savior for me. I spent months obsessing about bra and underwear, until someone just said – hey! Wear the dress as it is. Done. it was awesome and much more comfo than a bra.

I hope your child feels better soon and it’s not anything serious. Also, as a fellow migraine sufferer (whole life) I understand your pain…it sucks so much. Messes up work and life, everything. In recent years I’ve had a huge improvement thanks to this – http://terranovahealth.com/b-complex-with-vitamin-c/ . I take it together with this magnesium and it helped me stop all painkillers- http://www.togetherhealth.co.uk/products/magnesium . Also, I discovered it was in some cases low iron causing my migraines, so monitoring your levels is a good idea.

I hope this helps. God bless

I agree with

amandajane4949:  –the simplest is to have the seamstress sew a lining into the dress. If she can’t for some reason, then she should be able to alter the back of the slip.

I don’t think that amandajane4949’s comment had anything to do with your body, by the way. Do get some rest.

immoralbeloved:  Hoo boy, that’s a toughie. I really think PPs are spot on with you needing a lining sewn in. I searched google and couldn’t find a slip with a low enough back. Even the “low back” ones only go about 3 inches lower than standard slips.

However, since you don’t need the control of the slip, is it possible that the right panties will be enough? Or is it so sheer that you can literally see right through it and nude, seamless undies are too much even?

Hope your child gets better soon!

Sorry, when is the wedding?  As in, would it help you if I found something on the internet that suited your needs, or do you need a solution yesterday?

the above is a link to this dress, which is 8.99 on amazon.com

This might literally be the same product, it’s 24.99 on Azbro.com (not sure if that’s a reputable website)

I do think that, as PPs suggested, having a seamstress add a white liner is the easiest option, since it’d mean one less piece of clothing to wear in August.  You see Pnina brides get it done all the time on SYTTD.

Also, I have to imagine that all of this will seem a lot easier to handle after some sleep and when your baby isn’t running such a high fever.
