I would only put hotels if you have called them to get discounted prices for a group.  We put things on the website, most people didn’t actually book the hotel we got discounts at.

I think both options are okay. Suggesting helps a lot and in the end people can choose which one they want to spend $$ on.

I would put at least 2-3

I wouldnt put directions from the hotel if you dont know that most of the guets would be staying there. As a guest, i like when the couple puts several hotels, like 2-3, in different price ranges.

We’re not doing room blocks, so I have a variety of hotels to offer. Most of them are close to our house (where the wedding is), but they vary in price.

also, I have more listed on our website!

Oh, and I wouldn’t do directions. People are pretty smart and can figure it out. Also, they are most likely taking a cab, if it’s not within walking distance, so the cabby should know where to go.

If your guests will be staying at several hotels, could you give directions from the nearest major highway on your directions card instead?

I wouldn’t do directions on the card if you aren’t planning on blocking rooms at a specific hotel.  Most people have access to Google or a GPS now so they don’t really need the included cards anymore.
