After reading Baby Bargains we went with a Baby Italia crib and we love it. It is sturdy, beautiful, and has the non-toxic finish. If you keep your eyes out at Babies R Us they have random clearances. We ended up getting our crib and matching dresser for $400!

We got the Sorelle Verona from BRU (at BBB, the same crib is Sorelle Torino).

@mrsSonthebeach: I’m sorry for the silly questions, but what is BRU and BBB? It is way too early for me to start looking, but this looks like it would be pretty accessible for shorter ppl – like me! 🙂

@lazybee: Love them! I missed where you listed in your post that they have a non-toxic finish. I also found out that Babi Italia and Graco also offer the same, so I have more options than I thought!

We have the baby mod olivia for our 5 month old son and love it. It is so similar to the $1,000 Oeuf crib without the crazy price tag. http://www.lilsugar.com/Inexpensive-Expensive-Versions-Modern-Baby-Crib-2821239. It is sold online at Walmart.
This is a picture of it in our nursery.

We got the Metro Lifestyle Crib by Bonavia. I can’t say if I’m 100% happy with it, yet, since Baby Boy isn’t due until April. But so far I’m loving the look and stability of it. It converts to a toddler bed and a full size bed.

We just bought our crib a couple days ago (I’ll be 26 weeks tomorrow) and we’re picking it up today. We’re really lucky that they had one in stock as, typically, the store from which we bought builds to order so most cribs take 10 to 12 weeks to come in.
We chose the store/crib we did because all the cribs they sell are made here in Canada of solid wood and non-toxic materials. It can also convert to a toddler and/or full-size bed in the future.

ETA: The manufacturer is called Natart and the crib model is Belmont.

@miss.skinner: lovely nursery, great job! Seeing all the cute white cribs makes me want one, but DH doesn’t like white furniture. Are those wall decorations stickers or drawings?
