I would have done the same thing about the mouse and I am not even pregnant. I might have even vomited:/

@AvantLaLettre: I’m so emotional right now I almost started crying just reading it! lol I think you and I are in the same boat. I am holding back tears right now just because my husband has to work late and I’m upset about it. It sounds funny but I just wanna go to bed, but I have to go pick him up! ugh

awwwww….that does sound like an awful day!!

Sending you big (((HUGS))) hoping you’ll be able to see humour in the situation later down the road.  I haven’t had any big breakdowns yet (I’m sure my turn will come) but I can tell you about my completely irrational outburst at my husband due to a forgotten tub of sour cream!

We were enjoying a long weekend away at a cottage on one of the southern gulf islands in BC and we were in charge of making breakfast one morning.  We had planned on making breakfast burritos, but as we’re prepping breakfast I realized that we FORGOT TO BRING THE SOUR CREAM!!!! And oh was I ridiculously devastated and angered (all at the same time) by this realization.  We’re talking end of the world devastation here (seriously).

My husband very calmly said “well let’s not let it ruin our day, I’m sure breakfast will be tasty all the same” and I LOST IT on the poor guy because I felt he wasn’t being sympathetic enough or really understanding why I was so upset!!  All over a missing tub of sour cream.   And guess what – the breakfast tasted great anyways.  And it really was no big deal at all.  I apologized to him a little later for my very irrational hormone laden outburst and all was well with the world again.  And now I laugh over it every time I retell the story 😉  hahaha

I think your reaction to your awful day is completely understandable and normal considering the situation.  Heck, I think it would be understandable even if you weren’t pregnant!!  Here’s hoping tomorrow is a better day for ya!

I broke down (on the floor sobbing) towards the end of my pregnancy when my husband forgot to order my sandwich without cheese. It happens!

@luli29: Oh don’t doubt, at the time it seemed like a tragedy of epic proportions. “If you can’t even remember not to put cheese on the sandwich, how are you going to remember to buckle the baby into the carseat?! WHAT KIND OF A MAN ARE YOU!”

Oh yeah. It was charming.

@echo: haha your story made me laugh! I would so do something like that too!

@AvantLaLettre: honestly, I think I would cry over a dead mouse, that is just disgusting!

@luli29: haha, I’m thinking the same thing. The only problem I have with the OP’s story is the dead mouse in tupperware. Do you have a neighbor you can call, come over, and dispose of it for you? I could see my husband getting upset over leaving a dead mouse on the floor.

I would have cried, too!

This week has been aweful. Stayed 2 hours late at work Sun for a tech that didn’t know how to do his job, dealt with the same company all day monday because he hadn’t fixed it the night before, Tue we ended up having some drama and mix ups with our Managers and DM regaurding the medical leave and who goes to what store all while dealing with the loss of my cousins baby. The funeral was today, in CA so we couldn’t afford to fly down and go. Yesterday I was a hot mess and was bawling on and off at work all day. One of the other shifts finally asked if I wanted her to stay for me, and I agreed…only to get home during a thunder storm and not having parking anywhere near my unit. Ugh!

Not totally the same, but I know how you feel.
