tiffanybruiser :  OMG I actually thought about starting this thread this morning! Such a great idea! Roll call:

Your age/your partner’s age: 37/37

Baby #: 1

How far along are you/when’s your due date? 6+1; due 12/10/18

What is your TTC/MC history? BFP cycle #2, ended in a mmc Dec ’17 at 8+1, chromosonal testing was done, trisomy 15, BFP cycle #4 (current pregnancy)

Having any symptoms? weeks 4-5 just cramping, starting at 5+6 all day nausea, light cramping and just generally feeling sluggish

What’s the next milestone for you in this pregnancy? 1st appt/1st ultrasound on 5/1 at 8+1

Any coping strategies for dealing with the anxiety that comes with pregnancy after a loss? Focusing on other things, exercising and not trying not to overthink it. My motto since my mmc has been “Worrying about the worst case scenario has never once stopped the worst thing from happening.”

What are you most excited about with this pregnancy? Seeing a healthy heartbeat and giving birth to a healthy baby

Any babymoon plans?? Not yet but defintely want to take one! Currently will be going to Paris at 11w, praying it goes well

Good idea! I could use this community haha.

Your age/your partner’s age: 28/29

Baby #: 2

How far along are you/when’s your due date? 5W3D, due December 15

What is your TTC/MC history? Got pregnant 1st cycle, which resulted in MC last October. This was cycle 6 after that

Having any symptoms? Fatigue, general uneasiness, but not quite nausea, sometimes sore breasts, but nothing constant.

What’s the next milestone for you in this pregnancy? We have an early ultrasound next Monday, which will be 6W1D. Hopefully we will be far enough along for a heartbeat.

Any coping strategies for dealing with the anxiety that comes with pregnancy after a loss? Trying to take it one day at a time. I watched a YouTube video where a girl said “you might not get to hold this one in your arms, but you get to hold them right now”, which has been my ‘enjoy it daily’ mantra.

What are you most excited about with this pregnancy? Feeling the baby kick and squirm about.

Any babymoon plans?? We booked our babymoon when pregnant with the last one, so we actually took it in March, before we were pregnant again. I don’t think we will get around to another one.

ROLL CALL:

Your age/your partner’s age: 34/35

Baby #: 2

How far along are you/when’s your due date? 9w4d (by dating scan), Dirty Delete Nov 16, 2018

What is your TTC/MC history? TTC 8 months for #1, TTC 4 months for #2, MMC at 12 weeks (growth stopped at 10 weeks), TTC on and off (LOOP procedure) for another year (6 cycles trying), BFP at 3w3d – and so far it’s sticking.

Having any symptoms? Nausea, food aversions, general gross feeling, bigger/sore boobs, bloating, very mild occasional cramping, husband aversions, and fatigue.

What’s the next milestone for you in this pregnancy? My dr is sending me for an ultrasound during week 10 (just for reassurance), then I have my NT scan/blood draw on May 8 followed by a geneticist consult as my daughter and I both have a gene mutation.

Any coping strategies for dealing with the anxiety that comes with pregnancy after a loss? I’m praying lots, thinking positive, and my husband I and assure each other that we got through a rough MC once, and if we needed to we could do it again.  I had a doppler that I purchased during my last pregnancy, but it’s not working this time (it seems to have crapped out, as I can’t even find my own heartbeat).

What are you most excited about with this pregnancy? I’m really hoping that I don’t have an anterior placenta again, so I can feel more movement.  While I’m starting to allow myself to feel some excitement, I don’t think I’ll be really excited till around 14 weeks.

Any babymoon plans?? None, we’re probably heading to the west coast for some camping in August, but bringing the toddler, so it’s not going to be a super chill vacation.

tiffanybruiser :  Ummm I think I just said that I wasn’t having many symptoms but I knew it was coming, lol! I really wish symptoms were comforting for me though. During my mmc I had all the symptoms and it still wasn’t a viable pregnancy so unfortuantely I’m still dealing with anxiety. But doing well in general, the nausea is definitely much worse this time. I actually feel best when I am eating or in the hour past, after that back to feeling crappy.

tiffanybruiser :  no biggie, up until this weekend my symptoms were the same as my mmc so maybe that is what you are remembering. And yes, that was the worst part for me, I went into my 1st appt thinking that I was perfectly fine because I didn’t have any mc symptoms (bleeding, severe cramping) so it hurt even more to see no heartbeat. And yes, such a crapshoot, my friend had ZERO symptoms and has a healthy 6 month old. It is all so much harder than I anticipated when I glamorized pregnancy before TTC. Everything moves SOOOO MUCH SLOWER!

And yes, definitely a blessing and a curse to have the symptoms as it is a little comforting to feel pregnant. I know they say that nothing is ever guaranteed but I cannot wait to get out of this 1st trimester.

ROLL CALL:

Your age/your partner’s age: 30/33

Baby #:1

How far along are you/when’s your due date? Nov 2 = 11 weeks 4 days

What is your TTC/MC history? Low estrongen, started trying to conceive Feb 17, super long cycles 70+ days!  Pregnant July 2017, miscarried beginning of October at 10 weeks (after seeing a strong heartbeat).  Had to gain a bit of weight to increase my estrogen, and decrease my exercise…pregnant again this Feb after 1 year 🙂

Having any symptoms?  Sore boobs, nausea, working out and weight training have definitely been more challening, an aversion to coffee lol

What’s the next milestone for you in this pregnancy?  genetic testing comes back next week and we find out if it’s a boy or girl, 12 week appointment next week as well!

Any coping strategies for dealing with the anxiety that comes with pregnancy after a loss?  Not much just trying to remember statistics are on our side….

What are you most excited about with this pregnancy? once I hit the second trimester and finally get some kind of bump

Any babymoon plans?? undecided

tiffanybruiser :  Yeah I am basing my EDD off my ovulation date, because I know how much day-to-day changes are at the beginning. My doctor actually wanted me to go in this week but I pushed it back for that better shot of a heartbeat.

tiffanybruiser :  We went for our 10.5 week scan, and when they said everything was fine I just started BAWLING – its so strange, i think if you haven’t had a MC everything must be a lot more exciting…i find ever milestone basically just quels my anxiety a bit more.

Even with the strong heartbeat last time, I knew something was off – I barely had any symptoms and the dating was a week off what I thought it should have been at our first scan!

OT – for the women that miscarried after 11 weeks, was this a missed MC/ something that surfaced at your 12 week appointment?  or did you see a heartbeat later and then MC?

This thread is a great idea!! I’ll have to do the role call later bc I am at work on my phone and cant seem to copy and paste but long story short I am 8 weeks today and due Nov 28th. I have had 2 past losses a suspected ectopic ay 5 weeks and a missed miscarrage at 7 weeks. I did ivf the past 2 times.  Last week I graduated from my fertility clinic and the us showed a healthy heartbeat and baby is measuring normally!! I have my first prenatal visit tomorrow and I dont know what to expect. When I scheduled the appt they told me they usually dont do an ultrasound until 12 weeks so that kind of concerns me. How will they know all is ok with the baby? Also for the past week I have been having lots of symtoms, nausea, heartburn, extreme fatigue.  This morning I feel pretty normal which I should be glad about but it worries me. Do you ladies think it is normal for symptoms to come and go in the extreme that you feel great one day and awful the next? Guess I’ll explain all this to my doc tomorrow. Also bc I did ivf I am on progestone which can mask a miscarrage so even having symptoms isn’t that comforting. Trying to be positive that this is a different pregnancy and the heartbeat was good last week. But I think I’ll still worry through my the whole first triemster. I definatly have good days and anxious days. Today is a bit of an anxious day!!
