tiffanybruiser :  i was 11 weeks on the dot. I read online that sometimes they run out of blood to do that part and instead just say inconclusive, which is kind of irritating if true. I will just have to wait until we can tell from the ultrasounds.

chocolateplease :  Congrats on getting good news on your nipt!! Thats a big milestone!! Bummer they couldnt tell the sex but at least you know you got a healthy baby!! Will they redo the test to determine the sex or just have you wait until your anatomy scan?

tommywantwingy :  Congratulations and welcome!! I get not letting yourself get to excited after what you have been through. I was similar but it did get better after I got out of the 1st trimster. Hope you can start getting excited soon!

tiffanybruiser :  Wow you are almost 37 weeks! That’s exciting.  I am 35 weeks today. Can you believe next month our little ones will be here? Well definatly yours. I’m not due until the end of Nov so she could def come in early Dec. But I am excited it is getting close. Sorry you are swelling up. Did that just start? I havent had swelling but for the past weeks lots of pressure. The nurse said since I am carrying so low the baby is putting a lot of pressure on my bladder sometimes. I also have to pee all the time!! Yesteday I felt some stabbing in my cervix randomly. Is that lighting crotch? I am just so glad to have made it this far!! I’m getting so excited to met my little girl. We got a lot of the main stuff done in the nursery. Still need to decorate but at least the furniture is together.  I dont have a doc appt this week but starting next week I have one weekly until the baby comes.  Did you get your I think it’s called strep B test? If so was it a big deal? Did they check for dilation?  Just curious! That’s great you are almost full term!! I’ve been doing well so far just counting down the days until I get to met my little one! Glad you are doing well and I hope everyone else is doing good!!

chocolateplease :  Congrats, great news! Sorry about not finding out the gender but good NIPT results are so reassuring!

tommywantwingy :  welcome and wishing you a boring, uneventful 9 months, we have all been through it, try your hardest to stay positive but the nerves are totally normal (mine didn’t fully go away until 20+ weeks)

plprincess99 :  Welcome, the early days are the hardest, you really have to take it day by day. I honestly don’t have great coping strategies because my anxiety was at an all time high until a few weeks after our anatomy scan. Even when I would get over a “hump” there would be another one waiting. You really just have to gently tell yourself that things will be ok, try to stay as positive as possible but it will be hard.

candy08 :   tiffanybruiser :  ahhhh everyone is getting so close to delivering! Happy to hear everthing is going well for you ladies, well as well as to be expected in the 3rd tri! I have pretty much a combo of the same symptoms.

AFM, we just got back from our growth scan and baby girl is in the 43rd percentile at 33+2, weighing in around 4.5lbs. I assumed I would have a bigger baby (I’m 5’10” and hubby is a little over 6′) but neither of us were big so I don’t know where I got that from. Symptom wise I have really crossed into the uncomfortable-ness of the 3rd trimester. Pretty painful pelvic pressure the last few days whenever I walk, my swelling has increased in my feet and my belly just feels heavy. Brought my support belt to work today so I am hoping that helps but I probably just need to rest. We had a super busy weekend, we had our baby shower so our families from out of town stayed with us and then I spend all day Sunday on a buy buy baby shopping spree with my mom and sister getting some last minute stuff. Our nursery is pretty much done, except for some small decorative items and washing sheets. Also working on my hospital bag this week and scheduling some time to get our car seat installed AND we have childbirth class on Sunday! So many little things to do.

Ohhh and as a major update, Maui Pineapple is STILL breech so my doc went ahead and scheduled a c-section, which shocked me. I am still going to try the spinning babies moves but at this point I am losing hope, she has always been breech – even though the ultrasound tech said there is plenty of fluid and time for her to move head down. My next doc appt is next week so I am sure he will discuss little miss breech more in detail and we will figure out a plan. But for right now she will be born on 12/7!

tiffanybruiser :  yes it shocked me too! We had talked about it quickly that it COULD be an option but had no clue they would schedule it. My guess is that he just did it as a “backup” in case she doesn’t turn in time, I think c-sections are pretty common at my hospital so maybe it’s just to hold a spot? I am going to ask at my appt next week. But my doc also said that no matter what he won’t let me go past 40+2 so she has a pretty small window to come without a c-section or induction.

Hahahaha yeah those childbirth classes are kinda hard to schedule, we had one scheduled at our hospital but the instructor got sick that morning and they canceled. I had trouble finding something else that would fit in our schedule, our class is a Sunday from 1-7 *yikes*. Honestly, I am not even sure in-person is necessary, nurses and docs are there for a reason and will guide us through this whole process and yes, you have plenty of time. Kinda. LoL!

tiffanybruiser :  The swelling doesnt sound fun! I wonder if it will happen to me? We had a few random hot days a few weeks ago where I think I swelled a bit but since it has been cold I’ve been fine knock on wood.  That’s nice you can work from home! I’m sure that helps!! Glad your nursery is almost done!! Also glad to hear the GBS test isnt bad.  I was kinda nervous when I heard they have to do the anal swab too! Not sure if my place will check for dilation or not. Guess I’ll find out. That’s great you guys got your car seat installed.  I’m hoping my dh will do that this weekend.

sunshineglam :  Glad all is going well. For me the pelvic pressure just kinda comes and goes. Some days I am ok and others it is awful. I think when I am on my feet and over do it is when it is at it’s worst. Glad you had a nice baby shower and got your nursery mostly done! I am so surprised your doc scheduled a c section. My baby has been head down but they told me she can still move so they werent really worried about her position at this point.  Guess your doc is just being proactive in case your little one doesnt move? I think there is still time for her to get in position!! Glad your us went well!!

sunshineglam :  Also so crazy how each doc is so diffeent.  Mine told me at 41 weeks we would discuss induction as they dont let you go past 42 weeks. I did ivf so we know my due date is accurate. Guess each hospital has such different policies. I am kinda just planning on going late so if it happens I wont be too upset but trying to be prepared to go early to if that makes any sense! Got my hospital bags packed just in case.  Hope your birth classes go well! I did a breast feeding one and a basic baby care class but we are doing the birthing classes online due to our schedule. So far I’m not a fan of the online classes as I have books I think that gives so much more info. But it is probably good for my dh as he hasnt read any of the books. So glad all is going well!

candy08 :  yes, I think that doing so much this past weekend started my pelvic pain, its a little better today since I have been taking it easy the last couple days. In regards to the 40+2 “cut off”, I am 38, which is why the doc won’t let me (or anyone else my age) go too far over my due date. New guidance suggests an increase in stillbirths past 40+2 when you’re over 40, also an increase in those 35-40, they just don’t have the stats for that but they know there is an increase so my doc errs on the side of caution. He has made it clear that he does not like inductions and will only do if necessary but I think the new guidance is pretty serious to him.

candy08 :   sunshineglam :  thank you ladies! My cheapie test was a little lighter today at 16 DPO than it was at 14 DPO. I’m really trying not to think too much about it but it’s got me nervous 🙁

sunshineglam :  Oh that makes a lot of sense! Sounds like your doctor is being very proactive and smart! Also I noticed taking it easy can definatly help with the pelvic pressure.  But I know it is hard to do sometimes. I never sit still well!!

tommywantwingy :  I know it is so scary in the beginning but your urine could be dilated or maybe the fact that it is a cheaper test?  Does your doctor do blood draws and test hcg? That should give you more info but I know not all docs do that. Good luck and I’m keeping my fx crossed for you!!!

candy08 :  Kaiser doesn’t normally do bloods for progression unfortunately so I’ve been testing on my own and now I’m mad because I don’t like this morning’s test! I took another after a 4 hr hold and it’s a tiny bit darker but not near as dark as 14 DPO. Really hoping it’s just shitty tests…! Time will tell. I don’t go in for bloodwork til a few days before my 1st November appt for u/s. Praying I make it that far.
