Congrats Bee!  I am 13 weeks after two miscarriages.  It’s a wonderful thing!  Try not to worry about a 2nd mc…easier said than done, but just fill your mind with positive thoughts. We can’t control what happens, so you might as well enjoy the happiness when it is present.

MrsWitty :  Awwww! Congrats to you and the hubby!

This is also mine and my hubby’s first one together (I’m between 7 and 8 weeks). I, too, have the same fears you do and have been trying to make sure I’m doing everything right. I’ve been doing this to a point where it’s caused more stress which is not good. I read a book that said if you stress over every little thing, you are going to make yourself miserable. I’m trying to be a bit more relaxed now. I got confirmation of the pregnancy from the doctor’s office yesterday so that’s put my mind at ease. I think once you get your confirmation and you have your first ultrasound, you’ll feel better. I can’t wait to hear the little heartbeat!

Just watch some of the foods you eat (try to cut out the major no-no’s) and don’t over-exert yourself. I wish you a very happy and healthy pregnancy! I can’t wait to see your updates! 🙂

MrsWitty :  I know how you feel about the long wait for the appointment! I was so looking forward to my appointment this past Wednesday because I thought I would get the confirmation needed; however, I didn’t. All I got were brochures…….no examination or anything. I wasn’t set to go back to them until May 1st for my first ultrasound. That was disappointing and I knew I’d have a hard time waiting. It just all didn’t feel right so I called another doctor’s office that was recommended by a co-worker. They did a blood test and I have my ultrasound scheduled for next week! I’m excited!

My biggest fear has been miscarriage because I have had several friends and family members that have experienced that. I can only imagine the concern you have since you’ve had to endure that pain.

I will say that I went into a convenient care clinic to get confirmation the day after I found out with my own tests. The doctor refused to give me a blood test and said the only thing they usually do is a urine test, but that wasn’t needed since I already had confirmed tests of my own. I was bummed. I just wanted that confirmation. Maybe, in your area, things will be different (I am in Iowa).

I look forward to getting to know you and sharing our pregnancy experiences with one another! Again, a BIG CONGRATS! 🙂

Congratulations Bee!! I’m 6w1d with our rainbow right now..our first ended in miscarriage last July and it took us 10 months to get another BFP. It is definitely hard not to stress—I miscarried last time at 7.5 weeks so I just keep trying not to stress as that time draws closer.

My appointment is on April 17th and I am crazy impatient to get in for an ultrasound. I did request hCG draws from my doctor and they did those at 4 weeks and I was doubling appropriately. Maybe you can ask for those tests from your OBGYN like I did. I know it doesn’t really mean anything but seeing those numbers double is a nice bit of relief/confirmation.

FX for a sticky baby!

MrsWitty :  We are in the same boat :). I also sadly miscarried in January. Baby stopped growing at 8 weeks 4 days, but I didn’t find out until my 12 week scan. I ended up having a D&C because it had already been four weeks. I was really undecided about trying again right away just because of the fear of it happening again. I got my period back on March 1st, just like you! And ended up pregnant again that cycle. My EDD is Dec. 6th. It’s really hard not to get excited, especially as things progress. Just taking it day by day, knowing I can’t control much else. Praying things work out for you this time!!

Congrats to you! My seconds girl was a rainbow baby — we miscarried in Nov, got pregnanct in Dec, and she was born Sept! This time around I’m hoping for a similar story — we MC’d in Feb, now BFP in April, FX all is well with this one.
