If you’ve never read Girls Gone Strong, I’d recommend it. They have a whole series on lifting/training while pregnant. In fact, they say that squats and deadlifts can help preapre you for delivery!

I’m so sorry about your miscarriage and hope you’re recovering. Thank you also for linking to the brochure, which had some helpful suggestions for ways to modify my exercises. I agree the doctor’s exercise concerns have nothing to do with miscarriage and more with injuring myself.
I just feel bad that she assumed that deadlifting caused her coach’s miscarriage, when I’m sure her coach already feels horrible enough about it and shouldn’t be blamed for the miscarriage.

look, I also know someone who did crossfit until her 8th month And was fine. I wasn’t saying the deadlifting caused the miscarriage. but I’m also one that would be listening to my dr if they said to start taking it easy. But that’s Just me (I will be having a high risk pregnancy if I ever get pregnant).

and yes, she blames herself for the miscarriage. Took her months afterwards to get back into lifting bc of what happened. I would NEVER say anything about that to her. That’s incredibly innappropriate.
