At the begining it was bad…but then totally went away for the entire 2nd tri and some of the 3rd. Now at 31w1d, it’s back with a bang.

I had horrible problems with that due to the amount of iron in the prescription prenatal pills. I ended up having to take over-the-counter ones instead. Maybe talk with your Dr. about that?

@AJ1982: OMGOSH! That must be it. My doctor *just* switched my iron pills and is now making me take 10 pills a week instead of 7. Totally makes sense now…grr!

Ask your doctor about a prenatal vitamin with an added stool softener. My doctor gave me a ton of samples of different vitamins at the first appointment, and there were a few different brands with added softeners. Otherwise, I have found dried fruit and lots of water help me…cherries in particular (prunes just make me gassy). Good luck!
