Great fact about pregnancy: all the hormones give you CRAZY dreams!
So last night I woke up because of a heartpounding terrifying nightmare. I dreamt that Armagedden had come (or some other crazy reason why society would break down) and I was trying to protect my house. I went out to get food, was almost seen by some scary looking people, then had to slide down a muddy grassy hill to get back to my wreck of a house (all at night BTW) only to find my front door mangled because someone tried to break in. I go inside and my dog’s paw was hurt because he had scared off the would-be intruders. Most of the dream wasn’t too scary, but seeing my dog hurt sure woke me up! And of course I couldn’t wake up Darling Husband at 2am to tell him how freaked out I was. I just had to go back to sleep.
Anyone else want to share their strange pregnancy dreams?

I’m not pregnant, but I did have a baby dream the other night.
There was a baby in my house and was it just laying down somewhere. One minute it was alive, the next minute it was dead (it’s appearance just suddnely looked different, then the realization hit me that it was because the baby was no longer alive)…that dream scared the crap out of me!

OMG, MightySapphire! I have had so many weird pregnancy nightmares! I think most of my dreams aren’t really that scary, but they’re so real and intense, I wake up feeling terrified. Unfortunately, I am not as nice as you, and I almost always wake up my husband to tell him about my scary pregnancy dreams. 🙂
Last night I dreamt that I had just given birth. I was totally naked, and my sister and her boyfriend (who I don’t really like) just walked into my room. I was so mad, but I also just really terrified that her bf would see me naked. So I started yelling at them to get out of my room. Instead, my sis walked into the hospital room bathroom, grabbed a pair of scissors, and started cutting down my shower curtain. I turned into “fight or flight” mode, and I started physically attacking her to make her leave my room. But no matter how much I screamed/punched/kicked/etc… she just wouldn’t leave. And her bf was standing in the corner the whole time staring at my naked post-birth body. :Shudder:
I woke up so convinced that this was actually going to happen, that my husband actually had to talk me out of calling my sister this morning at about 3 am to tell her she (and her bf) were NOT invited to the hospital. Hehehehehe.

I ALWAYS have crazy, vivid dreams. I have a lot of death dreams about myself and other people so I am prepared for some really crazy dreams now that I’m pregnant. I had my first baby dream the other night and it turned into a nightmare. I dreamt that I had a boy but that I didn’t love him. I just had no interest at all in him. My mom even had to feed him for me. I was so upset when I woke up from that.

Since being preggie my dreams / nightmares have been so vivid and real. It’s pretty freaky. Although not scary they always seem to be about my hubby cheating on me or not wanting me anymore. Last night’s was about him not listening to my request to keep his dad away from going to my OB appts.
The one night though, while I was sleeping I thought I felt someone grab my boob which felt so real that it woke me up instantly. So naturally, I thought it was my hubby but it wasn’t him at all. He was facing the other way, dead asleep. That was pretty freaky. I am pretty sure it has something to do with me watching Paranormal Activity that night. Yikes!

I had one in which I had already had the baby and we were on vacation. We were up on these islands in the sky that were thousands of feet off of the ground (like something off of Mario Bros, lol). I couldn’t find my baby because someone I knew had taken her. I had to have my sister help me find her because I didn’t know what she looked like (since she hadn’t been born yet, crazy). I finally got her back and I was so upset that I wanted to leave, but the only way to leave was to get hooked to a rope and be lowered on a pully. We were so high you could see the clouds below us and a faint outline of the land below. I am so afraid of heights and was freaking out. I was putting my baby in her car seat because I didn’t know how else they were going to get her down and all I could think was this isn’t safe. She isn’t safe like this.. how can I protect her.

Did you guys have/remember your dreams before pregnancy? Because before pregnancy, I never had dreams. And now they feel so…REAL! It’s creepy. And why are they never happy?? Oh wait…scratch that…I’ve had a couple of VERY happy dreams since I’ve been pregnant if you get my drift! ::wink wink:: ::nudge nudge::

I’m not pregnant, but I did have a dream once that I gave birth to triplet girls and as soon as they were born I fell asleep. When I woke up, P proudly announced that he had already filled out their birth certificates, and didn’t understand why I was so angry about our daughters named Gertrude, Catalina, and Hortense.
