FutureMrsMcGinnis :  just a couple more weeks until I pop.  I can’t wait to sleep on my belly again (though I know it takes longer).  It’s hard to keep those secrets when you want to share with all, isn’t it?  I actually never announced mine online because someone miscarried right around the time I would and it felt unnecessary.  I’ll share a fun Halloween surprise instead.

What to make: do you do crochet or knitting?  Afghans are always welcome.  I’ve also made quilted balls for several people and my mom always does (apparently it’s being claimed as an Amish Puzzle Ball but I think that’s just for the clicks).  And once an elephant with crackly ears. I just browse around online until I see something I like.  If you want to do onesies, just remember it’s super hard to know what size they will be when they pop out.  You’re better off skipping newborn sizes.  I got a cute baby’s first christmas one from a family member’s girlfriend and it was much appreciated – she also gave me the fabric markers and leftover onesies in case I wanted to do it too (I was too lazy).

Found out last week at our anatomy scan that we’re having a BOY!
I still can’t get over it. Too happy!!!! I’ve always wanted a boy first because I grew up with two older brothers and it’s the best 🤗

My baby is 12 weeks old today! 😭

Other good baby news, my cousin is in labor as we speak & I’m just so happy for her! She’s had a rough pregnancy so I know she’s ready for this new beginning. 💗

Someone made this blanket for us that my son is laying on. He was born in July so we haven’t really had a chance to use it yet aside for uses like this. Still much appreciated though!

I am currently 19w3d and never thought I would have kids.

I went through a horrible breakup with an emotional abuser  (found out he was cheating while we were in Paris. Awesome.) and I found myself single at 34 thinking I was too old to ever have a family. I met my Darling Husband 6 months later and we married at the end of 2017. We waited until this Spring to try (me 38 and him 39) and we were so fortunate that it happened right away.

I’m currently sitting and drinking my morning coffee while this little baby kicks away and it’s the most incredible thing ever.

FutureMrsMcGinnis :  I am 30 weeks today and I just can’t believe it! I also have decided I am happy enough with my preggo body that I will be posting my first bump pic on social media, which is a huge step for me.

I love feeling my little girl kicking away. Its so magical, even when she kicks so hard it hurts. I love her more than anything, and I can’t wait to meet her.

Gifts: Stay away from the tiny NB or 0-3 month clothes. I have gotten more than she will ever wear in either stage. I have gotten some adorable clothes for when she is older and I am so excited! I also always appreciate blankets. If you want something for Mom, a prenatal massage is a game changer, especially later in pregnancy.

Joy but also a cute/funny story. Our friends just announced they are pregnant (very late announcement for personal reasons) and the dude told my hubby, with pure pride, that the baby was conceived on our wedding night. Love was certainly in the air that day!

My anatomy scan is next week. I’m dying to finally find out the sex of our little nugget! However, my Brother-In-Law and his wife have decided they want to do a gender reveal party. It wasn’t my original plan to do one, but they’re so excited to have their first niece or nephew that we’re going along with it. We leave for our anniversary trip the day after my appointment, though, so we won’t actually find out until November 3rd. The extra wait is killing me, but we’re getting close and I’m so excited.

FutureMrsMcGinnis :

I am 34w4 with my second. My son is just about 2.5y old and understands enough that I am carrying a baby, and will sometimes come up and lay his head on my bump and say “hi baby, I’m brother!” Or sing twinkle twinkle Little star to it. It gives me all the feels everytime 🥰😭 He has also started demanding it “come out”. Haha. When I tell him it needs to grow and get a bit bigger and needs more time, he will say ok and give my bump a hug and walk off to play. 😍

No great ideas on what to gift unfortunately. We did a family set of shark shirts (mommy shark, daddy shark, brother shark, and baby shark) but mostly because my son was obsessed. It has been 6 months and he LOVES his Sharkey shirt. Mine doesn’t fit anymore 🤣

I’m currently 13 weeks pregnant and I’m super super happy. Like, I’ve never been more happy or excited for anything in my life!

This is me and my husband’s first baby, our parent’s first grand baby and my grandma in laws first great grand baby so we have a lot to be thankful for <3

We finally have our first ultrasound on Thursday and I’m excited to see the baby and see how it’s developing.

Mrs_Beer :  Thank you for your kind words!  It’s funny, before I met my husband I was always in the “I’m not sure if I want kids” camp in my head.  Come to find out, I was not on the fence but I was just really scared to acknowledge that I DID want kids and maybe not ever have it. This baby is a dream realized and that joy is just overwhelming to me. Also, seeing my husband go through his own growth into this protective, mushy, emotional dad is just making me fall in love with him all over again.
