@Bride2Be929:  We actually began TTC right before the wedding, and I fell pregnant with a honeymoon baby, but we ended up losing it. We are now 5 months after the wedding and still TTC.

Are you worries about the judgement that could come with it? Or adjusting to being a newlywed? Finances? Or something else?

I say whatever makes you most comfortable. If you’re concerned for any reason you shouldn’t try right away, then I say wait, even if for three months, that way you have time to adjust or fix whatever you want to wait for.

I’m sure after the wedding you’ll change your mind and start having baby fever again anyway =)

I’m getting married next year and plan to wait at least a year or so before we start to TTC. First off I want my own house before we even try cause I refuse to be living with his parents and have a baby and I also want some time together to be newlyweds and focus on us

Neither Darling Husband and I are anxious to have a baby. But even if we were, the first year of marriage is important to just spend as the two of you. I’ve only been married for 9 months, but there’s been lots of trips and special times between the two of us. Pregnancy isn’t sexy and we wanted to have a little “us” time to adjust to living together.

We’re waiting to have kids until we really want them and we get baby fever. I’m hoping some day we’ll feel it!

We got pregnant three weeks after getting married and we’re thrilled.  I understand the comments about enjoying some time just the two of you, but since it’s already three of you, I don’t think that argument is as persuasive.  I think you really just need to wait until both you and your husband feel that the time is right.

@Bride2Be929 – I don’t blame you for wanting to wait especially after you had a rough pregnancy previously.  I’d wait to see how you feel after you’re married, maybe you’ll surprise yourself and be ready.  I say take each day as it comes and wait till it feels right.

Fiance and I decided to TTC right after we get married.  We’ve been living together for 2 yrs already and we’re homebodies so we feel there is no reason to delay it 🙂

I ovulated 2 days after our wedding and fell pregnant. Even tho I am so so happy, i kind of wish I had waited a couple of months and just had us time after the wedding, im 14weeks now. I dont actually have any advice, we just had to take it as it came.

Yup, Fiance wants to have a baby like right after we’re married, whereas I’d like to wait about a year at least just to spend some good time with him first.

We’ve talked about it, and we’d like to have at least a year to ourselves to have fun/relax/travel and generally just settle into married life. I have the Mirena IUD that maxes out in June 2015, so depending on when we actually get married (we’re not engaged yet lol) I might have to resort to another form of BC or we might just start TTC because it may take a little while for my body to “reset” after the IUD removal.

We got pregnant with a honeymoon baby on purpose.  Slowly changed my cycle with birth control pills and went off right before the wedding.  We knew I would be ovulating on our honeymoon.  When we found out I was pregnant 2 weeks after getting home from the honeymoon, we were over the moon and still are.  The first trimester was tough but worth it.  We view our precious honeymoon baby as the best wedding gift ever.

@Bride2Be929:  I defintely want to get pregnant right after the wedding… but at the same time I do want a little time. And I think it may be better to wait a little. But anyways because of that I’m not so worried about switching off my bcp to FAM/NFP. That way if nature has plans for us and we do get pregnant when I’m supposed to not be in my fertile window (or I think I’m not in my fertile window) it’s a good thing.. and if we don’t then once again it’s meant to be. I think we’ll be full out trying about 6mos after the wedding though.
