@niftyfifties:  Hmmm no:0) I would wear a condom before I stop cold turkey. Good luck to you though, I’m sure your wedding night will be a lot of fun after waiting so long.

Eeek. I couldn’t imagine not having sex for 4 and 1/2 months.  Couldn’t even imagine going 4 and 1/2 hours without it.  Are you guys not taking precautions? Wouldn’t it just be easier to get on birth control than to torture yourself and him?

Condoms work well for us – and I’m allergic to latex and the lifestyles latex free feel as good as unprotected sex for both of us. I can imagine your fear though. We lived together for about 2 and a half years before we got engaged, and it wouldn’t have been the biggest deal if I got pregnant before we were engaged, but once we were engaged, I did not want to get pregnant until after the big day! But there’s not too much more to go and I’m really hoping to get pregnant as soon as possible after we wed ๐Ÿ™‚

What? You can’t go 4.5 hours without sex? I am so confused!

OP, glad everything turned out alright. I would agree with doubling up – pill and condoms, for example, if you’re really nervous. But if you guys are happy waiting, that’s cool too!

I had a BAD one freshman year of college. My period was on time every month, but I just didn’t get it one month (I went 8 weeks between periods instead of 4). I thought my life was over, but thank God I wasn’t pregnant!

I’m kind of going through this right now. It’s not a full-fledged scare yet, but Fiance and I have been going at it like rabbits since moving in together a few weeks ago. I’m really bad at remembering my pill, and we always use condoms, but I cant help freaking out anyway. Once AF shows up, I’ll feel so much better. Glad to hear your scare is over. Fingers crossed over here!!!

@Kurzweil:  What is there to be confused about?  I enjoy being engaged….A LOT! lol.  No one else has sex 3 times a day with their FH?  What a pity.

@RobotBabooshka:  Well, most of us are at work/apart more than 4.5 hours a day…

I had one this time last year.  I remember taking a test on Mother’s Day.  I felt it was appropriate to let everyone know if it was true.  Hahaha.

Maybe just use condoms and have sex only in the first 3 or so days after your period ends and during the week before your next period should come. Also, if you do ger pregnant, most women don’t show for about 3 or 4 months, so unless it’s the very next cycle, the pregnancy probably wouldn’t affect your dress.

@niftyfifties:  I think it can be done, we are abstaining as well, and I think it will make our wedding night super exciting! ๐Ÿ™‚
