alaska_99705:  I had the Mirena removed on 6/11 and my doctor told me that there are no lingering protective effects from any IUD (so Fiance and I didn’t DTD the 5 days leading up to my mirena removal and waited the (doctor) recommended week after I got the Nexplanon to make sure that pregnancy wasn’t possible – which was HARD lol). There is a possibility that you are pregnant! The only thing I’ve heard is that most doctor’s recommend waiting one full cycle after the IUD removal so that your uterine lining isn’t so thin. Good luck at your appointment!!

alaska_99705:  I have the Paraguard but haven’t had it removed yet. When it was inserted maybe 3-4 yrs ago I remember the DR telling me you can get pregnant the day it comes out so maybe you are!! Wishing you luck!!!

If you had unprotected sex before the IUD was removed, you can get pregnant by that sex after the IUD has been taken out.

That being said, based on your symptoms I think it’s way too early for this to be pregnancy related yet.. four days after the IUD was removed, you wouldn’t be experiencing things like that being related to a pregnancy.

good luck! Hopefully things even out soon.

Call your doctor and have them do a blood test if you’re that worried about it. I can tell you I had a bunch of symptoms last month and they turned out to be nothing, so yeah…our bodies do weird things sometimes lol.
